Sarah Palin called her husband Todd "tough" after he was seriously injured in a snowmobile accident.
She wasn't kidding: a source tells PEOPLE that Todd's injuries were so extensive they required six hours of surgery overnight after the crash.

Sorry to hear this.
Prayers continue for Mr. Palin and the Palin family.
Fyi
I still don’t know exactly what happened. From the injuries, it sounds like something fell on him or charged into him, something too fast to be avoided. I don’t know if he was another victim of that 22 y/o mutton-head who was deliberately driving into snowmobiles involved in the big sledding event. A lot is not yet being said.
I hope he gets better. Fun toys can be dangerous. I shelved the idea of getting another motorcycle because I do not want to go through something like this.
A sever TBI? Sounds like it.
I am praying for his recovery. Life is very fragile. We live on the edge or we die while we are breathing. Get up and live life. That is what he did and he will never regret it. God bless him.
Todd is tough as nails, praying for a speedy recovery. He is a wonderful man and has a heart of gold. I remember when he was on that TV show Stars Meet Stripes with Chris Kyle, Todd was amazing. Get better Todd Im pulling for ya
Prayers for Todd Palin and the entire family.
Praying.
Does anyone have a recent update concerning Todd’s condition?
This thread and Freeper sdpatriot was so awesome and sent me this link from the Iron Dog: http://www.irondog.org/palin-snowmachine-crash/
An Excerpt: Anchorage, Alaska (AK). Iron Dog has been informed that Todd Palin was involved in a recreational snowmachining crash over the weekend and suffered some serious injuries. The extent of the injuries has not been publicly released, but word is that Todd is in stable, but serious condition and scheduled for surgery at a local area hospital.
Todd is a four-time champion Iron Dog racer with a long history of strong finishes in the longest, toughest snowmobile race. Regardless of your skill level or victories in racing, this incident demonstrates that accidents can happen to even the most skilled riders. All riders should be prepared for the worst and always ride with a partner, wear protective gear and a helmet.
My Heart is in pieces over this. Sarah put on a brave face, but I Hate Hospitals and know nothing good Ever comes from being in one. >:'(
Continuing Praying
Tough for sure. Now he needs to work on Smart, as in stop doing risky sh!t.
True and well said, thank you.
I hope and pray that he has a speedy and complete recovery! He has so much to live for!
Praying that Todd makes a full recovery.
In Alaska snow machines are not toys. They are a necessity. Getting to grocery etc with a couple feet of snow on the ground is not something that even a 4 wheeler can do. I don’t know what we would have done without our snowmobile the last blizzard we had. Even police had to rely on them and I am in Indiana
I suspect after six hours of surgery, Tod was darn lucky to be in a hospital. Something good does come from being in hospitals.

Hmmmmm In 1976 my life was saved in a hospital. I think that was a good thing as two years later I married the most lovely lady on Earth.
