McConnell: No hearing for Garland

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Wednesday shot down the idea of Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland getting a hearing. McConnell insisted in a floor speech that vacancy should be filled by the next president. ADVERTISEMENT “The next justice could fundamentally alter the direction of the Supreme Court and have a profound impact on our country, so of course the American people should have a say in the Court’s direction," he said.

I think Mitch might be seeing what's happening to the rest of the GOPe and he might be trying to hop on the train while it's still building a head of steam.

I don't think he can.

Donald Trump is where he is today because the RINOs have been caving to Ubama all this time. Caving on this one would absolutely guarantee Trump's nomination.

Of course the problem is, they may be too stupid to know that or they may think the two things are in different universes, so I suppose it's not a sure thing.
