Former Speaker John Boehner endorsed Paul Ryan for president today – the day after Donald Trump won 4 of 5 states in Super Tuesday 2.0.
The elites don’t give a damn about the Republican base and this is more proof.
The Politico reported:
Former Speaker John Boehner said Paul Ryan should be the Republican nominee for president if the party fails to choose a candidate on the first ballot.
“If we don’t have a nominee who can win on the first ballot, I’m for none of the above,” Boehner said at the Futures Industry Association conference here. “They all had a chance to win. None of them won. So I’m for none of the above. I’m for Paul Ryan to be our nominee.”
Wading into the GOP nominating battle for the first time since leaving office last fall, Boehner said that “anybody can be nominated” at the convention in Cleveland this summer.
Boehner, who now splits his time between Florida, Ohio and D.C., had long whispered to friends that he believes Ryan could be the party’s political savior if it came to that.
But Boehner never said it publicly until now.

I was involved in Cantorizing the weasel Eric Cantor, they know precisely why he was thrown out and they are doing whatever they can to stop us from doing anything else to keep our country.

If voting for Brat (& attending some of his meetings with voters & making donations) is “Cantorizing the weasel”, then I was a “Cantorizer” as well :-) Sure the RNC/GOP know why he was thrown out, but they have been refusing to believe it would/could happen again .... until Trump came along & who is giving them a scare since he would kick over the table & start a new game, one where the RNC/GOP would not be players at the table. The RNC/GOP, as they have for the past 7 years, would not be that uncomfortable going along with the agenda of President Hilly because their corrupt crony power structure (the one that lines their pockets & leaves the country in the lurch) would not be affected.

In other words: Ryan didn’t win, either, so I support him as the establishment’s candidate. The eGOP split the vote to ensure no one could gain enough votes.

I think Mitch & Ryan were telling Trump to “dial down the heat” & wanting him to take responsibility for the violence at rallies, but Trump put his own spin on it & cast the conversations as a positive.

If the pubbies pull a fast one and stick in, say, Ryan-Romney, Bill Ayers should replace Hillary, he’d have an excellent chance since none of the GOP base will be showing up.

Obviously John Boehner returning the favor in kind for the conservatives firing him . . . nothing but sour grapes and most should be able to see right through it. He’s on his way out and he’d like to scorch a little earth as he goes.
