From 1994 until his appointment as U.S. Circuit Judge, Judge Garland served as Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General, where his responsibilities included the supervision of the Oklahoma City bombing and UNABOM prosecutions. One of Garland's mentors, according to a July 6, 1995 Los Angeles Times article, was then-Deputy Attorney General Jamie Gorelick.
Its a bait and switch.
Once the GOPe takes the bait, Thugster will pull it and then change the name to Holder.
No way, forget it, absolutely not.
Who?
That's enough for me. Rejected.
NEXT!
A white guy. Who would have thought?
He’s half Protestant.
Mitch McTurtle to flip in 3, 2, 1 .....
Jamie Gorelick... a name that was at the center of so many, many scandals, treason and cover-ups.
Yet another “gift” from Orin:
“Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT), the longest serving Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, offered his own thoughts on who President Obama should nominate to fill the seat left open by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia last week. [Obama] could easily name Merrick Garland, who is a fine man, Hatch told the conservative news site Newsmax, before adding that he probably wont do that because this appointment is about the election. So Im pretty sure hell name someone the [liberal Democratic base] wants.
On Wednesday, the president reportedly plans to call Hatchs bluff. Multiple sources report that the president will announce his nomination of Garland, the chief judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, to fill Scalias seat.”

Lame Duck Quacking
Can’t you just imagine her mentoring!
The answer is: no.
McConnell better not cave on this.
No more Ivy League cabal
Yep, you can count on one thing in life, and that's Orrin Hatch can't keep his trap shut. He simply MUST weigh in and pontificate on every issue.
From the article I've linked above, Hatch's comments from LAST WEEK:

That was the ‘safe’ choice.
I think you run the clock through November.
Then if a Dem wins POTUS, push him through.
