Based on the careful analysis and prognostications of our own esteemed FReeper LS, I believe Trump will arrive at the convention with more than enough delegates to deliver the nomination after one and only one round of balloting.

Trump is as able as anyone to get enough delegates to win in the subsequent rounds and in fact would probably have the best chance because he will be closest to a majority.

IF Trump doesn’t go into the convention with 1237 pledged delegates, then anything can happen. As long as they don’t do anything underhanded to strip away or disqualify some of his delegates to keep him under 1237, there is nothing unfair or unprecedented about an open convention - even one where the candidate with the most delegates going in is not the eventual nominee.
