If you defend this, what won’t you defend? I am done defending Cruz. Period.

Cruz took sides when he attacked Trump.
He sided with the protesters.

If he thought he was right, why isn’t he repeating on all the shows he’s been
on? He knows he’s screwed the pouch. That is why he is not repeating it.

Now hold on a minute. Just yesterday Cruz supporters were condemning Trump for (allegedly) the same thing.

#hypocrites

Pamela Geller/Muhammad cartoon...outspoken real estate mogul Donald Trump said it looked to him like “she’s just taunting everybody”.

But Cruz, not being an idiot, knew that he would feed into the media narrative that it was "all Trump's fault". I do criticize him for that, because it is deceptive.

I am very suspicious of Trump, but what happened at that rally had little to even do with him. It had to do with the left in this country trying to keep the rest of us in our place. Our place being forever stuck only with candidates of which they approve and who speak only of topics within the boundaries they set. Also known as: losers.

Quit spreading this spin. He gave a perfunctory condemnation against violence and then proceeded to blame it all on Donald Trump and his campaign. I saw the video. It's the equivalent of saying "Well yes, the rapist is at fault...but if that slut wasn't walking around in her slutty clothes nobody would have raped her. Her actions and style made her get raped."

That is “UTTER” (Cruz’s favorite word) PC Crap ! Either Trump has free speech or he does not.

Period.

End of argument.

So a presidential candidate has the right to “politically correct, party-approved” free speech. And you wonder why #TrumpIsWinning ?

Mom, please remember that Cruz is a lawyer.

The thing is, from a gut-level perspective, Cruz's speech still sounds like he was blaming Trump.

And what about Trump's "rhetoric?" His attendees have a right to defend themselves when they are disrupted. Trump's supporters are not going to other rallies and disrupting those.

Cruz blew it big time, if was nominated I was going to hold my nose and vote for him, but I have no intention of supporting Cruz whatsoever.

I disagree with your observation. The agitators did not attack Trump and his supporters because of Trump himself, they attacked them because Trump is the frontrunner of the opposition party. If Cruz were the frontrunner the agitators would attack him and his supporters.

Cruz jumped the shark on this one. Big time.

It is not a prerequisite that Free Speech “help the situation”. Sometimes, harsh things must be said. The question is whether Cruz, the Constitutional lawyer, knows how to defend the 1st Amendment or not. He failed in my book.

They (the left) have been like this for a looooong time now. Their behavior is nothing new in such that they are now being met with resistance and it is shining a spotlight on their actions. You can cower in a corner with the rest of the GOPe if you like, lots of us out here want to take our country and Constitution back.

Cruz might as well side with the bad guys. He is a phony baloney.

Once again he straddles the fence because he only cares about himself. Too much of a slime to stand up for what is right.

He is a disgusting creepy cretin.

Bull! Cruz compared Trump to OBAMA’s outrageous, often repeated calls for Black violence!

Well, let’s see, that makes two parts of tne Constitition that Cruz doesn’t respect (presidential eligibility and free speech).

How sad to see the “hard” right combine wirh the elite and the communist left to achieve the destruction of the working middle class.

Trump appears to be the only one who will speak for America. The rest can pound sand.

Cruz did not merely point out anything. He did this for calculated political advantage. That is what the Cruz campaign does. It is all about Ted, which is not even his name. Why does he run from his name ? Rafael is a holy name.

Cruz' campaign is centered on him, witness TrusTed as its premiere slogan. Trump's is based on America with Make America Great Again, and that makes all the difference as far as this veteran is concerned.

So how is Trump's ‘rhetoric’ applied to BLM etc. burning cities long before he started running for President?

What has Trump’s rhetoric got to do with them cursing the police, flying Mexican flags, flying communist flags, etc.?

Bill Ayres was there protesting, a man who was a terrorist and who tried to kill people with terrorist bombs. Obama’s good friend.
