protester just rushed stage at Trump rally after diversion
I was left with the impression that the attack came deliberately from behind Trump. Trump’s first reaction was a slight crouch— as if he had suddenly been jostled (eg while riding on a subway car) from directly behind him. Then he looked down, but not focused on anyone in particular, more of a surprised look on his face and momentary confusion as to what he should do next. Then one guy jumped up to protect him, followed by several others. As soon as they determined the threat was gone, most of them immediately jumped off stage. At that time, one guy (not the first guy) remained on stage. Trump looked at him and got some kind of non-verbal signal that everything was OK to continue. Then that final guy jumped off stage. After that, Trump continued with his speech.
I got the impression that security might be more tight in front of Trump than behind him. However, someone else with more knowledge might be able to clarify if this is actually the case or not. If it is the case, then the protestor may have taken deliberate advantage of the weakness in Trump’s protection entourage (and that would be a bad thing). Trump’s protection entourage might benefit from analyzing the incident with particular emphasis on strengthening protection against threats from the rear.
(As if anti-Trump protestors were intent on demonstrating their cowardness by attacking Trump from behind, like a coward would.)
If you say so. You’re impressive...but you knew that already.
In the meantime, this comment at DU enrages me:

Good analogy.
“There are a few this morning saying that Trump deserved it. Hopefully their FR careers end soon.”
That’s pretty much what Cruz himself said last night.
[You just used up your last bit of credibility.]
I think that Mercat just ran back into his little hole in the ground.
Uh huh.
Massive ignorance on your part that you missed this:

I heard he got the bolt from above.
But seriously, the guy needs some help-he was just wigging out there.
I voted for Cruz on Super Tuesday. I’ve questioned my decision all along.
Cruz would be trounced by the media if he’s the nominee. He wouldn’t be able to stand up to it. Trump won’t back down.
Well not really after he found out he got the zot as I have been givin time outs it makes you real mad so he will calm down maybe later

Drudge did Trump and all of us a great service by posting a live link to today’s rally on his site. I’m thinking a lot of people got the full dose of reality who weren’t ready for anything like it.
No prosecution for 'rats, only for protesting ranchers out west....
Was it Rubio?
The Cruzies have become so unhinged that Im almost embarrassed for them. But not quite.
Bennett is a big time establishment man. Those words are not his.

Bush administration
Cruz joined the George W. Bush presidential campaign in 1999 as a domestic policy adviser, advising then-Governor George W. Bush on a wide range of policy and legal matters, including civil justice, criminal justice, constitutional law, immigration, and government reform.
Cruz assisted in assembling the Bush legal team, devising strategy, and drafting pleadings for filing with the Supreme Court of Florida and U.S. Supreme Court, in the case Bush v. Gore, during the 2000 Florida presidential recounts, leading to two wins for the Bush team. Cruz recruited future Chief Justice John Roberts and noted attorney Mike Carvin to the Bush legal team.
Let me encourage other members of the establishment: Keep supporting Donald Trump because every time you do it, what it is doing is telling conservatives all over the country is where you stand and who stands with you.

After action reviews are always done.
Lessons learned, and procedures modified if need be.
“Although...GOPE still remain at the top of the suspect list.”
This administration and the neocons have slaughtered thousands to advance ‘globalism’. They won’t hesitate to take out an individual who threatens their gravy train.
