protester just rushed stage at Trump rally after diversion
You just used up your last bit of credibility.
Why are you talking?
Honestly, I do not see any significant faction not pursuing some degree of the same tactics. At times it makes much of FR unreadable.
Your post is somewhat in the same mold.
Great Graphic!
“Your opinion means less to me than what I flush on a daily basis.”
You don’t often see FReepers brag about their regularity!
What a campaign season!
I’m looking forward to everyone uniting in the General - well at least the 80%.
“Tyranny!?” Yes, god forbid we interfere with the right to rush someone, with unknown intentions, while they practice speech you don’t like.
Sorry nate, not waiting on you anymore. I simply can't vote for a bully, not after 8 years of a liberal bully in the White House.
Yes - right!
I just happened to be watching the Trump rally live streaming (note: this was my very first live political streaming rally) and saw the entire thing live. I was tuned in because of the FR pointer to the live stream and I was curious to watch it since another FR thread poster mentioned that Trump was talking about Chicago at the speech. Anyway I was half watching while typing something else unrelated to politcs. The attack seemed to be over before I realized fully what had happened. At first, it looked to me like a protestor jumped on stage. However, it turned out to be a SS or bodyguard, not a protestor, since the guy immediately turned his back on Trump and started to watch the crowd. Then a bunch of other guys jumped on the stage and did the same thing. During this time Trump said nothing that I can recall at least, but just before or after, he pointed to the camera left (his right) at something. During this time the loudness of the live feed went up a few decibels as the crowd roared some kind of semi-incoherent cheering for Trump apparently in response to the attack. This lasted for several minutes, after which Trump resumed his speech with a couple of funny and apparently ad-libbed one-liners. It was amazing to watch since if it had been me, I wonder if I would have been able to continue at all given the dangerous context. Trump supporter or not, unless this was staged (which I highly doubt), gotta give credit for chutzpah where credit is due, IMHO!
CRUZ SUPPORTERS: Let me guess - Trump just said we need a wall and that drove the attack. Therefore it is TRUMPs FAULT.
I haven't seen a single Cruz supporter who sides with the protesters, and most Cruz supporters are in favor of a wall.
They maybe should get him protection with bullet proof vest, head gear. It only takes one slip up and one nut who gets through security... there IS security at the door isn’t there? Put Trump behind bullet proof glass. Just think ahead to what could happen... it’d be a disaster like we’ve never had before. There has been so much go on with a wink and a nod from the justice dept... it sets a tone that is downright scary.
Power is a strange bedfellow for the elite GOP.
@ 1:43 is where it began. I wish there were no people behind him. Eversince, that Mohawk kid in one of the past rally had me nervous.

So that others that are tempted to see your posts as reasonable become better informed.
“Cruzbots”
So you are saying that everyone who doesn’t fall in line with YOUR preferred leader must be “dealt with”?
Your words, not mine.
So the first amendment is only for Trump supporters now?
Take this opportunity to clarify your position.
Tell me, will you deal with us Japanese style with a death march while you practice cannibalism?
Or German style complete with Auschwitz-Birkenau camps for us undesirables?
You know, us lesser life forms.
Stalin style gulags in the Mohave or northern Alaska?
Or would you prefer the ISIS methods of beheading, drowning and burning alive?
Just remember that movements and revolutions have a way of turning out badly.
Ours worked because of the character of the leaders of the day.
For a better picture of the average revolution study the French revolution a little.
Or Castro’s bloodbath in Cuba.
Your idea of a revolution brings bile and hatred instead of resolve for a better system of government.
Are you really that stupid to believe such tyranny will only be applied to people you hate.
—
I am afraid you’re the one that’s stupid. Trump is standing up to the tyrants.
I would think along the same lines, i believe a subtle barrier needs to be around the podiums. Subtle like you will NOT get past it.
peyton randolph got the zot!
Many in my Tea Party group are still rabidly defending Cruz and blaming everything on Trump.
