One way to weather this horrible economy, and learn some discipline, is to avoid spending money (to the best of your ability) anywhere these animals might work. I’ve practically eliminated fast food (and have been able to pull my belt tighter than at any time in the last dozen years), and have avoided spending any money in cities (I’m between Newark and Jersey City in NJ, and a dozen miles west of NYC). Even when someone else is paying, I won’t give any business to these places...
