Ted Cruz says he would have no problem with a contested convention over the summer in the event neither he nor Donald Trump secures enough delegates before then to lock up the Republican presidential nomination.
Trump suggested Wednesday morning on "Fox and Friends" that Cruz was making the statement "because he had such a bad night last night."

An interesting story about ‘76. After Reagan made his “concession” speech at the convention the mood in the hall was “we nominated the wrong guy” according to many that were there.
Why are you lying? And try answering honestly.
He sure is. Unbelievable.
LOL!!!
QUICK COMEBACK....
SOME people just like to be cheery and joyful.ha.
GOPe is against both Trump and Cruz and most of Americans.
Not so. Cruz and Neil Bush joining forces speaks otherwise...along with the ‘meeting’ with Bush, Cruz, Rubio and Kasich. You can’t say Cruz is an outsider. He is all in with the establishment now. Also, look at the money the GOP has thrown into attack ads against Trump.
Cruz has sold out and is now fulling in bed with the GOP. Nothing in DC will change if he is annointed at convention.
You copied me on your post pointing out that John Valentine made some assertions about natural born citizen status way back in 2009, presumably to point out an inconsistency in his support for Cruz. That post has nothing to do with me but I admire your ability to dig up posts from over six years ago to support your points. As long as your around I hope I don’t have some post from 2012 that says something like “Chipotle restaurants are taking off like wildfire and would make a great investment, put your whole 401K into their stock!”
Anyhow, I do believe Patton was pulled politically. They had to eventually bring him in... and still they hamstrung his operation all the way.
The purpose of the convention is to unify the party. The purpose of the primaries is find the candidate who appeals to the most people in each state. So far, only Trump is collecting wins.
Two days ago:
“...Ted Cruz Says A Brokered Convention Is Not Acceptable...”
The only way Cruz has a prayer of running for POUTS is if there is a brokered convention.
It’s not won 8 states; it’s got the majority of delegates in 8 states.
Where’d you get the news about the 20 million donation?
That makes no sense. Cruz has proven he will stick to his guns. Trump not so much.

HA.
If you think that all this Bush support to Ted comes with no strings attached, you must be crazy.
I read about it here on FR, but I did not bookmark it or note which thread it was on.
And you think David duke support comes racist free?
Yuck!!!
Cruz is no Conservative. This was made clear when he stated he would support Rubio over Trump if he had to drop out.
“Its not won 8 states; its got the majority of delegates in 8 states.”
You are right. Thanks for the correction.
As it stands, Cruz would not yet qualify as a candidate in a contested convention, under rule 40. Neither would Trump.
Not one state has yet been won by over 50%. Puerto Rico would count though.
The rule will probably change.
Ok if a candidate goes to the convention with not enough delegates. They just don’t give the nomination without a contested convention if both candidates are close in delegates..
Sounds like the good old GOPe, makes sense.
TRUMP will ride into a brokered convention and take it over, run it, milk it, make money off it, win it and brag that it was the most watched event in the history of the human race and that TV ad during the TRUMPVENTION were 300 percent more costly to take out than Superbowl ads.
