(Vanity) - Mark Levin, Isn't It Time To Get Behind The Candidate Who Can Beat The Establishment?
Self | Matrch 7, 2016 | mbrfl

Posted on 03/06/2016 9:14:56 PM PST by mbrfl

For the past 4 years, we've heard Mark Levin tell his radio audience that this time around, conservatives need to rally behind one conservative who can actually beat the establishment. As near as I can tell, Levin seems to have gone silent on that point in recent months.

As we watch the GOPe ramp up their attacks on Trump, borrowing from the Mississippi playbook of dirty tricks, wouldn't now be the time to rally around the only candidate who can take out the GOPe - Trump? Any thoughts?

Who believes polls anymore? Who listens to that idiot Levin anymore? Remember, no Trump, GOP gets dumped.

Reagan was not a known quantity on the national stage.

You must not have been alive in 1980. Reagan was a celebrity starting in 1933, on the radio, then in movies. He was a conservative activist and celebrity from the mid-1950's. He gave the most famous speech of the Goldwater campaign. He was Governor of California for eight years. He ran for President in 1976 and almost beat Ford.

I just hope that Trump does not pick a VP as bad as the one that was foisted upon Reagan! :-(

Cruz would be a good choice IMO. Of course a lot of fence mending would need to occur.

Cruz/Trump would be fine as well except that ticket would fail to bring in a large democrat crossover vote. There are going to be a LOT of angry Sanders backers that will want someone else to vote for. It’s for this reason that I feel the dems may find some way to push Hillary out.... she will NEVER be able to collect the angry sanders votes.

What a crazy election!

The mistake people make is that they judge Cruz just by what he says, not by what he’s done. They forget that virtually EVERY Republican has to learn the conservative talking points. That’s how they get elected, and that’s how they’ve been able to scam us all these years. Campaign to the base, tell them what they want to hear, then do the complete opposite once in power. Cruz just happens to be a better salesman then the rest. And I would have believed him if he hadn’t voted for TPA, the Corker amendment, and repeatedly supported various forms of amnesty.

Cruz will NOT be president and Trump wouldn't take the VEEP spot. WHY CAN'T YOU EVER GET THAT?

Cruz is INELIGIBLE to be president or VEEP! Neither does he bring ANYTHING whatsoever to the Trump ticket; in other words, he is absolutely USELESS!

G.H.W. Bush was foisted on Reagan by the damned GOPers.

I don't understand why people, who are emotionally invested in Cruz and somewhat so in Trump, refuse to face the reality of what they propose when yearning for a Trump/Cruz ticket! Even IF Cruz were eligible, he brings less than NOTHING to a Trump ticket; not his home state, not his experience, not knowledge, not contacts, not even votes...yes, not votes, because so many here claim that they won't vote for Trump UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

Who do you think might make a good VP choice for Trump?

Maybe a Kasich choice would help with Ohio.

I’d like a Trump/Gingrich ticket but Newt is too old to run after a Trump term. It would be nice to have an excellent VP ready to run when Trump’s time is over.

I doubt Trump would want a 2nd term but I could easily be wrong.

I have NO idea at all, but KaSicko doesn't work and neither does Newtie.

Absolutely NOT Cruz!

I'm sure that there's someone out there, who would be good, but I can't come up with anyone. SORRY!

But YES, we need someone younger who can be the president afterwards!

Agreed. It’s hard to unlearn what I’ve learned about Cruz in the past few months.

I wonder if Eric trump is old enough to be VP?

If he’s 35 it might be an interesting choice.

I’m pretty sure Ivanka is too young but that would be a fun choice :-)

Can you imagine the coverage if Ivanka showed up to funerals and state dinners around the world as the USVP ? She would have more eyeballs on her than Kate Middleton.

Another thing about Cruz, is he’s lauded for what a great debater he was in college. While that can be a fine skill to have, it can also sometimes signify someone who is good at advocating for a position that he doesn’t really believe in.

You can NOT run a ticket of father and son; you can't even put a member of the family in the cabinet!

Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh, why don't you know this?

After the JFK nepotism crap, the Congress passed the NO NEPOTISM Act, after JFK was assassinated!

That's true.

OTOH, from what I've seen of him, at the GOP debates, he STINKS.

The real world is the business world. A court-room isn’t make believe, but it is a contrived setting with clear pre-determined rules of operation.

If memory serves, the United States predicates its laws upon a Constitution, which is a contrived document with clear, pre-determined rules of operation. If you want an example of creativity in the "real" world, you've got to look no farther than the current occupant of the White House.

Windflier...I am already amazed and disturbed to my core. The Republican establishment has shown itself to be as corrupt and dirty as the establishment on the other side. They are willing to roll over the power of the people’s vote to insure that they keep their hand in the till of the elites who have overturned our Constitutional government and replaced it with a smoke and mirrors playground for the extremely rich who are the shadow government in this country. The tragedy taking place in American politics is something I could never have imagined could happen. These attack ads they are flooding those states with are no doubt full of half truths or out and out lies about Donald Trump. I was a Cruz supporter but after what I have seen, I am wholly in Trump’s corner. All of us are imperfect in one way or another and NO human being should be treated with the envious hatred being dumped on this successful man simply because, at this time in history, the Republican voters are choosing him as the one they want to lead this country. I have lost hope and I think it is time to replace the Republican establishment. Fire them all.

How successful have any of our constitutional conservative politicians been at, say cutting government waste or pushing back against the unconstitutional bureaucracy that has come to dominate our government? Are you being deliberately dense? It’s not an either or situation. You don’t have to go outside the constitution to think outside the box when it comes to solving problems.
