Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) said on Sunday that the media is sitting on explosive negative information about front-runner Donald Trump with plans to run it later in the year to tear the candidate apart.
"I think an awful lot of reporters — I can't tell you how many media outlets I hear, you know, have this great exposé on Donald, on different aspects of his business dealings or his past, but they said, 'You know what? We're going to hold it to June or July,'" Cruz said on CBS's "Face The Nation" Sunday. "We're not going to run it now."
Cruz said the media has given the front-runner "hundreds of millions of dollars of free advertising." Every press conference Trump has is shown on every television station, he said, noting the media helped create this "phenomenon."
"And all of the attacks on Donald that the media is not talking about now, you'd better believe come September, October, November — if he were the nominee — every day on the nightly news would be taking Donald apart," he said.

They tried to stop Trump. It has failed, time after time. I don’t believe they are holding back.

I will vote for anybody else but Cruz, I will not vote for him. This is the slew doest thing I have ever seen and I’m almost 70. I’m also from Texas.
Don’t buy the lies. Yes they are making stuff up. Naturalization papers? Lol. If Cruz’s mom is a Canadian citizen, then that makes her an illegal alien now. She couldn’t have a drivers license, etc etc. Not in texas. Let common sense pretty prevail. These are lies.

You’re right. This is an attack on all of us who support Trump. We are being told to ‘know our place’...and evidently FINALLY getting someone not wrapped up in this DC mess to run for office is NOT going to be tolerated.
I hope everyone who has voted in the primaries changes their registrations back to not affiliated asap.

Naa...TOTALLY DIFFERENT level when you run for President. Look at Bubble Boy, for example - he was left alone and made it to the US Senate.
The FIRST THING they’ll go after is his eligibility. All they have to do is get a court to throw out Cruz - and WE GET ROMNEY, regardless of how many delegates Cruz has - it ends for him THAT DAY.
...and that’s just for starters. Next in line is his wife’s ‘issues’...it will not end for him, not at all.
Cruz is likely correct. The pro-Hillary media is certainly more interested in damaging Trump in the general.
