Sarah Palin: Donald Trump, Don't Take the Bait

Donald Trump, Don't Take the Bait

The "machine's" deception and nonsensical attack on Trump isn't really an attack on the candidate, it's an attack on conscientious, hardworking, patriotic Americans who know we need a revolution to stop the complicit politicians who are fundamentally transforming America. We found the revolutionary.

Donald Trump is the shock the Permanent Political Class needs to wake them up... to destroy their selfish cabal... to respect the will of the people... to make America safe and solvent... to make America great again.

Don't take the bait, Mr. Trump. It's not about you. It's about us. And we've got your back.

- Sarah Palin

She’s right.

Trump should be Presidential and downplay the personal attack, while simultaneously discrediting Mitt and those pulling his strings.

Remind everyone how much Mittens praised him in 2012, and remind them that you are the SAME person now as then. Show Mittens’ hypocricy.

Why should he stick up for the Donald. Donald has done nothing but call Cruz names for months and now he’s supposed to stick up for him. I think not.

Has TRump disavowed the attacks on Cruz, yet? Does TRump think it would be ok to shoot Cruz on the floor of the Senate because no one would care, the attacks on his kids, etc.?

You’re right. All that talk about God is just a smokescreen for Cruz’s lust for power.

Same here! Democrat family members are advising they love Trump, because he has hit a chord with them and many of their union coworkers - these are Democrats whose union probably just FedExes stacks of votes straight to the Dems most elections.

Everything in Trump’s history points to one thing, it is always about Trump!

Yes....creating thousands of jobs, and investing in the American economy....is all about Trump. Trump has also employed thousands, worldwide....with HQ being in USA.

Since when do FReepers/conservatives rail against that?

McRomney, is that you????

I said Trump should say he’s not showing up to the debate unless Mitt does since he has now declared himself a candidate.

If you know any Democrats - reach out to them and ask them if they have a throwaway vote, would they be willing to use it for Trump.

I know a lot of Democrats who are eager to support Trump. These are not dyed in the wool liberals. In fact, they lead quite conservative lives but just grew up believing what they were told, that the Democrats are for the little guy. They hate Clinton and know what a disaster Sanders would be. They also fear for their jobs and their families. Trump appeals to this crowd the same way Reagan did in 1980.

When did Trump EVER say that about CRuz....on the floor of the Senate?????

Trump has been taking arrows from all directions, since the day he announced.

This full-front GOPee attack....engineered by Romney operative/Mississippi 13 gang Stuart Stevens, is NEWLY launched....since day of last debate.

This is an unprecedented - against the historic GOP Presidential frontrunner - attack put out by the RNC/GOPe.

Has CRuz denounced it?

No. His (former ha!) spokesperson has done nothing but shower praise on Romney, for this unprecedented attack, all day.

Ted doesn’t have to stick up for Trump but if he doesn’t speak out against Mitt and the establishments tactics we will know he is part of it.

Sarah is right.

Trump should simply play back Romney’s glowing praise of Trump from 2012 and point out the obvious. it’s not Trump who has changed since 2012, it’s Mitt.

And let that be the end of it.

In 2012 Romney would have been far better for the country than Obama. Trump recognized this and threw his support in and endorsed Romney. Romney was grateful for it and thanked him in glowing terms.

I believe it is very distasteful and low down for Romney to now turn on Trump in this fashion. Trump is the same man he was in 2012. Romney wanted and appreciated his support then.

If Romney has a true issue with Trump, then decency would say that he would meet with Trump personally and work it out.

But he is not...he is attacking Trump as if though Trump’s endorsement of him, and the fine things Romney himself said about Trump mean nothing.

This is a bad thing. Quite frankly for me, it is a disappointing because it shows that Romney himself is one of those politicians who takes the rest of us for fools and believes that we cannot, or will not, remember what he said and did in the past.

There is no honor or integrity in what Romney is doing today. This is not how you return favors. This is not how you unite the party.

As I say...he should have gotten together personally with Trump and worked it out...and I believe Trump would have made the time for him.

But the people themselves, irrespective of Romney, irrespective of Rubio, the GOPe, the MSMS, Hillary, Harry Reid, etc., etc. are the ones who are going to make this decision.

...and they are voting in droves.

I am a Cruz supporter and will support him until he either wins (looking less and less likely) or he bows out.

If Trump wins the nomination, I will support him 100%.

The end game here is defeating the unbelievable corrupt Hillary who promises to double down on Obama policies, or the communist, Bernie Sanders.

We unite the GOP by coming together and doing that with the nominee our own people elect.

That’s pretty plan and simple. That’s very straight forward.

What Romney and the GOPe are doing is underhanded on its face. Once more the establishment is telling us that they know better than we do.

We’ve had enough of that song and dance.

If you actually knew anything about Trump’s history; you would know that he loves this country.

Which, by the way, is more than can be said of any of the establishment including Cruz.

I agree. I think Trump has good advisers like Palin and I hope he follows their advice.

Sarah Palin's statement was as much for us as it was for Trump. It's her way of "steeling the spine".

I know plenty about the Donalds’ history. Where does it show that he “loves this country” more than Cruz.

There are a lot of "inertia democrats" who are not democrats because they fully believe the current democrat ideology, but because of historical, generational reasons. Trump, unlike most candidates, is capable of rearranging the constituencies and getting the inertia democrats to cross over..

No, everything in your biased opinion of Trump leads you to believe a falsehood.

[When did Trump EVER say that about CRuz....on the floor of the Senate?????]

The poster was referring to TRUMP not defending TED CRUZ when LINDSAY GRAHAM dissed CRUZ on the Senate floor.

TRUMP only defends those candidates who pose a threat to him.
