2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney will be delivering a major speech Thursday denouncing Donald Trump.
FORMER RNC CHAIRMAN MICHAEL STEELE: I don't know why they think this is going to work in the first place. I don't know who they think this is going to influence.Keep in mind, Mitt Romney lost 3 million Republicans, who didn't even bother to show up and vote for him because they did not support his campaign.

Hopefully this will wake the Cruz people up to whom the party REALLY considers a threat. You don’t see them clawing and flailing away at Cruz or Rubio. And Cruz and Rubio are going to jump right in there with the establishment and try to keep Trump out of Washington. You know why? Because they ARE establishment. They’re prototypical establishment. Both lawyers. Both professional politicians. Both taking money from the big donors who pull their puppet strings.

The scene inside the RNC offices must resemble what we used to describe as a “Chinese Fire Drill”!
Well, I’m in North Carolina and had not decided who to vote for. It was between Cruz and Trump. I’ve never seen the elites act this way not even toward Obama.
Because of Romney’s actions I will vote for Trump.
Mitts’ speech is the greatest endorsement Trump could get!
Especially after that video of Romney glowingly praising Trump is out there. Trump talks about lying politicians and here he has Exhibit A: Mittens Romney.

I agree. Except the word I used to describe it rhymes with dusterduck.
Maybe they'll be smart enough to keep it going, at the expense, of course, of the hard working American man and woman.
But the Trump Effect is a rebellion against this, and if they were smarter they might have foreseen in and figured out a way to defuse it.
They are not smart enough to understand why Americans hold them in such contempt and the magnitude of that contempt much less what to do about it.
The Republicans gained Congress and had lots of state victories under Steele so let’s not say he was all bad.
Mark my words....Trump has correspondence from the Romney Campaign begging him for money, and he will make it public at the right time.
I actually would take Steele back over Rancid Prius at this point.
Romney is the real phony. Now he wants to be known as Mr. Chaos for splitting the party and electing Hillary so the GOPe can continue to do nothing for constituents and enjoy their lobbyist lunches, free haircuts and paid for junkets.
I think it will convince more people to vote for Trump. My husband, no Trump advocate by any means, is disgusted with the GOP doing crap like this and he’s only decided he hates the GOP within the past couple days. I may get him to vote Trump after all - thanks Mitt!
I am just saying - no dog in this fight but the GOP did OK under Steele - at least above average in terms of local and national election.
Mit Romney is showing us the height of arrogance and self importance, which a lot or our elected have.
