Marco Rubio Finally Wins One, in Minnesota
Fortune ^ | March 1, 2016 | Tory Newmyer

Rubio's Minnesota finish will allow his campaign, at long last, to call him a winner. The freshman Florida senator is in dire need of a spark to help him continue making the case to party leaders, donors, and anti-Trump voters that he remains the best hope to stop the billionaire businessman from romping to the nomination.

Outside a convention fight I don’t see any path for Rubio moving forward.

He’s done, got blown out, it’s over.

Of course that wont stop the anti-Trump/anti-Cruz faction from propping him up as a zombie candidate until Florida...

At this point if Carson doesn’t exit the race. It’ll be obvious that he relishes his roll as the spoiler.

Tonight in nearly ever state Carson won 5-10% of the vote. Most of which would go to Cruz...with or without a Carson endorsement.

I was simply making an observation based on some pretty strong evidence.

You still lost.

If Carson dropped Cruz still would have lost New Hampshire, South Carolina, Nevada, Alabama, Georgia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Tennessee, Vermont, and Virginia.

And that’s assuming every single one of Carson’s supporters would back Cruz.

Maybe, this was an anti-Ventura, anti-Franken backlash? MN has suffered through two “Clown-Car” politicians. Been there, done that! And, they know the reality of selecting a guy like PT Barnum Trump...Ventura was an unmitigated disaster, Franken just a fool! However, this state is way too Liberal to see the merits of someone like Cruz...so, they picked the comfortable alternative to Trump, who they may see as Jesse, “The Body” Trump...afterall, Trump has a history with the WWE!

PS I’ve never met a person from MN that I thought was NOT strange in some fashion...something in the water up there perhaps? Not enough sunlight?

Never look back. Carson dropping out will help Cruz in future races...not in the past.

no. the real loser -- the permanent loser -- is the one that wakes up in the morning and sees you in his mirror.

Actually this is great for Trump. Earlier the media that were pushing Rubio were starting to say maybe he should drop out if he can’t actually win any state. This makes it more likely he stays in. If Rubio and Cruz both stay in it only helps Trump. Any of the other candidates would kill to be in Trumps position.

In which states does it help? Have you looked at the map? Moving forward I don’t see much room for Cruz to expand.

We’re not too proud up here these days.
We had a good stretch of R governors the last 20 years but now the state has swung left. Sorry.

” my great great great great grandfather watched Cornwallis surrender at Yorktown “

He witnessed the surrender and participated in the siege after years of serving in the Carolina militia , under Genr’l Nathaniel Green , playing hit in run with the far superior forces of the British . Wounded severely at the Guilford Courthouse fight by a British sabre slash , he survived . Prior to the Rev War he served as a ‘Regulator’ , opposing the British Governor of the Carolinas and dodging loyalists all in and around the southern Appalachians and Smokies . After the war , he was awarded a land stake in the far western hinterlands , along the banks of the Cumberland River , where he established first a farm and then a small trading post . That post eventually developed into the town of what is now Gallatin Tennessee .

It's not short of hilarious that you're lamely pimping Mr. Haney in a thread that references an article that could be sub-titled "Marco Rubio Finally Wins One, in Minnesota: Ensuring Rubio and Cruz Split Votes, Runner-Up Slots Behind Trump For Another Month"

That may be the only state he wins, so let him revel in it.
