It'll be a pound of bacon, almost a dozen eggs and toast, coffee and OJ.

Male owls have nothing to do with the nest. Once the eggs are laid, Momma depends on him for food until the owlets are fairly old. THEN she’ll do a little hunting herself.

Once in a blue moon, Dad will deliver food to the nest but most of the time, Momma flies up to a tree to retrieve it.

I’m still waiting for that pesky squirrel to be dinner. :-)

Watching the NASA Channel, waiting to see Mark Kelly get out of the space capsule. They’ve gotten one crew member out and it hurt to watch. It’s obviously not comfortable to him being back in gravity.

There’s Kelly. He’s out and being carried to a chair. He looks happy but moving a little sluggishly. Imagine that!

I’ve always admired anyone who has the cojones to go into space. Scary stuff because if something goes wrong, there’s NO ONE who can help immediately.

I sat here laughing during the tirade. Momma had been screeching for him for hours when he finally showed up. She was screeching when she took off from the nest and you could hear her the whole time. There were a few different squawks that were obviously Dad.

It wasn’t long afterwards that she took off again to meet him and arrived at the nest with a big fat rat. Two more arrived in short order. :-)
