It sure would be a joke on him to get caught being so saucy! :)
I sat here laughing during the tirade. Momma had been screeching for him for hours when he finally showed up. She was screeching when she took off from the nest and you could hear her the whole time. There were a few different squawks that were obviously Dad.
It wasn’t long afterwards that she took off again to meet him and arrived at the nest with a big fat rat. Two more arrived in short order. :-)
