Roger Stone: If Rubio Loses Florida, ‘Abundantly Clear Mitt Romney Is Waiting In The Wings’
Breitbart ^ | 03/01/16 | Dan Riehl

Posted on 03/01/2016 1:34:53 PM PST by Enlightened1

Republican campaign veteran Roger Stone tells Breitbart News Daily host Stephen K. Bannon, “I have reported, and I stand by this, that a number of the billionaires who are funding

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)
79%

have told him that he has until the Florida primary on March 15th to show some leg. If he cannot win his home state primary, it will be very hard to continue to justify his campaign. At that point, I think it is abundantly clear that Mitt Romney is waiting in the wings.”

Stone continued:

Notice how Romney is suddenly tweeting all the anti-Trump tweets? So, he’s been quiet for months and now he’s suddenly carping about Trump’s tax returns. Now he’s carping about this phony story about David Duke, who Trump has no truck with whatsoever. I think Mitt gets into those late primaries … in an effort to soak up votes. The purpose here is not to defeat Trump overall. It’s just to stall him on the first ballot.

“Here’s what they say,” said Stone, when asked to describe the reaction of powerful Republicans, “we have to stall this guy short on the first ballot. We’ve got to stall him just short of the magic numbers.”

He goes on to point out that with delegates free to vote as they want after the first ballot and the establishment picking delegates in many states, such as New York for example, Trump could conceivably lose as many as 100 votes on a second ballot, opening the door for Romney, or another challenger.

If the GOPe manages to give Romney the nomination, I will vote a straight Democrat ticket the rest of my life.

Wow. Trump MUST be the candidate we need if this many ultra-rich folks are terrified of him. Wow.

Yep. They are throwing everything at him.

Too bad the GOP never fought this hard against Obama.

Does the GOPe actually believe that Romney the RINO is preferable to Trump?

At the rate things are going, by the time Rubio loses Florida, it will be too late to stop Trump.

Yep...

It will certainly be the Republican Party committing suicide if they try to null the Primaries because they do not like the results.

It was also tell us the election is a fraud, and we have nothing to turn to.

If the GOP does this, they commit political suicide on the grandest scale possible.

They talked about if Trump doesn’t get the number of delegates needed on the first round of votes at the convention, as in not having them going in, it can go to a second round of voting then the delegates that he did have from each state are then free to vote for whomever they want after the 1st round goes down.

“Romney??? They have lost their minds. Might as eell run McLame again.”

It is crazy, ain’t it?? I think the majority of informed voters have figured out that running establishment pansies does not work for REAL America. And their votes in the primary so far certainly show that. The Republic cannot afford it...another Obama (version 2.0) will kill America.

Republican Party - an extinct American political party that was founded by the Abolitionist Movement in the 1850’s, and played a key role in American politics until committing suicide in 2016.

All of the GOPe candidates have been rejected yet they think that offering another RINO will make the people say, “Gee, I hadn’t considered Romney the RINO. I’ll surely vote for him!”

The GOPe don’t care how they do it, but they are fully committed to suicide.

Romney's only selling point relative to Rubio, Romney's 2012 rejection of Amnesty - is now OBE, since Mitt has since come out in favor legalization for illegals.
