These new Trump poll numbers should absolutely terrify Republicans [correction: GOPe Pubs]
Washington Post ^ | 2/29/2016 | Greg Sargent

If Republicans are going to have any hope of stopping the runaway train otherwise known as Donald Trump, it may rest on their ability to limit the breadth of his appeal. A single alternative to Trump — most likely Marco Rubio — could conceivably coalesce enough support among well educated, relatively affluent, more moderate Republicans

Where the hell do they get that? I have analyzed EVERY poll where I can see the crosstabs and I have not found ONE poll where Trump loses to Rubes or Cruz among either “college ed” or “some college” or income $45,000 and $65,000 and over $65,000 (a proxy for college grads).

So, no, there is NO path for Rubio among the “well educated, relatively affluent.” NONE.

Correct! Trump is winning with all voter segments...

Some people are simply delusional in their thinking, but I guess it is more of the “HOPE” stuff again..

I was going to comment, but you’ve covered all the bases. My “pissedoffedness meter” is pegged! Trump will need to go on a prison construction binge to house all the lawbreakers we currently have infesting our government. I just hope he prosecutes enough of them so that any would be government crooks will take the hint.

“Robspierre generated a mass movement to kill the monarchy to establish a “Republic” under a man which led to the dictatorship of Napoleon”

Which eventually, after fighting off another brief monarchy, lead to a Republic that is pretty well regarded. But first, the Monarchy had to go. And thank god it did.

In America 2016 we have a rabid populist generating a mass movement to kill the oligarchy and establish a monarchy under a man which will further a permanent dictatorship in the Executive.

It's well before 6 pm on a weekday. Too early to be drinking.

“Shouldn’t his numbers terrify democrats?”

Democrats are absolutely terrified. They’re terrified that Hillary is the worst possible candidate that they could nominate, and they are terrified that Trump’s revolution is appealing to almost everyone in the country except hardcore “Progressives”,illegal aliens, and gibmedats.

It’s France in the late 1700’s all over again.

That turned out real well </sarc> — first the Terror, then Napoleon.

Yeah right. Should I ignore how the media, rats and GOPe are reacting? You do not see any of them freaking out on Cruz or Rubio. Gee, this is a tough one for me. Do I believe Dead Dog or my own lying eyes? The truth is that Rubio is the public GOPe candidate and Cruz is the GOPe approved and funded “outsider. Kind of like McCain was the “maverick”. You do not seem to get that Cruz is the ultimate insider. Just take a look at Ted and wifey’s resumes.

“In America 2016 we have a rabid populist generating a mass movement to kill the oligarchy and establish a monarchy under a man which will further a permanent dictatorship in the Executive.”

Hyperbole suited to the most irrational, emotional, immature, irresponsible, anal, crybaby loser mentality.

Certainly those were not your words and you were quoting someone else.

what is it about Trump that has them so fearful?

He ows them nothing. He can't be bought. He isn't part of the club, yet he is close enough to know where the skeletons are. He knows who is corrupt and who needs to be in prison. And he is a basic patriotic American who is against the globalist treaties like TPP that are coming up.

You might want to Google The Terror. It wasn't 'fighting off' another monarchy - it was a full blown bloodbath, where everyone and his neighbor turned on one another over accusations of having benefitted from the monarchy. It was a mass slaughter of anyone who did not support the revolution.

And that will be our future as divided as this country is and judging the vitriol you can read on this board itself.
