I thought Coburn loved Cruz, according to the Cruz campaign when Trump took Coburn’s name in vain.

In not endorsing Cruz, Coburn has in a roundabout way vindicated Trump for tweeting that Coburn didn’t like Cruz.

We need the Tenth Amendment restored and a very weak federal government that only does what it is supposed to do.

The bad thing about Coburn is that he is saddened that many conservatives no longer consider him a conservative after all his conservative time in the Senate.

He picks the gang of 8 kid to endorse instead of Ted Cruz.

He can not like Trump, but why in the world would a person who prides himself on his conservatism, then turn around and endorse Rubio when Cruz is in the race?

Senator Charles F. Meachum: There are no sides. There's no Sunnis and Shiites. There's no Democrats and Republicans. There's only HAVES and HAVE-NOTS.

Because Cruz is an insufferable a-hole, as anyone who actually knows him will attest. Coburn’s last two years in the Senate overlapped with Cruz’s first two years. So he actually knows him.

The funny thing about Cruz is that it’s always Cruz doing the name dropping. The other guy never mentions Ted Cruz.

Cruz for example, has always ridden on Jeff Sessions coat tails in every one of Cruz’ showy performances on some issue, using Sessions as his bona fidis and back drop.

Jeff has had to give Cruz some perfunctory nod, for Cruz’ political run, but otherwise, they were never the BFF (best friends forever) Cruz made them out to be.

Jeff was so “on” to Cruz.

As for Coburn, he was awesome in the early days and then went quiet on the right things that got him there, and obnoxious on the wrong things that turned his head. He got the arrogant part down really well.

If Coburn was sincerely conservative, I think he had the Cruz option.

Ok, so which is it, Coburn, huh? Two US citizen parents and born on US soil makes for a NBC and eligible for POTUS or an anchor baby? Flip flop. You’re nothing but a low down lying @#^_&($_(*@$ politician who says and does what he pleases as it suits him. Yeah, noticed you let the Kenyan’s NBC slide at the same time you were vetting McCain’s so why not Rubio this time.

http://www.leahy.senate.gov/press/the-introduction-of-a-senate-resolution

Senate Resolution 511 - IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES

“Mrs. MCCASKILL (for herself and Mr. LEAHY, Mr. OBAMA, Mr. COBURN, Mrs. CLINTON, and Mr. WEBB) submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on RESOLUTION Recognizing that John Sidney McCain, III, is a natural born citizen.

“Because he was born to American citizens, there is no doubt in my mind that Senator McCain is a natural born citizen”... John Sidney McCain, III, was born to American citizens on an American Naval”

“At a Judiciary Committee hearing on April 3, Leahy asked Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, himself a former Federal judge, if he had doubts that McCain was eligible to serve as President. “My assumption and my understanding is that if you are born of American parents, you are naturally a natural-born American citizen,” Chertoff replied. “That is mine, too,” said Leahy.”

Coburn isn’t a RINO.

Come on guys. Just because someone isn’t in love with Trump doesn’t make them a RINO. JUST like someone who loves Trump isn’t a racist.

Please.

My entire notion of who is and isn’t establishment has been changed by this election.

I do think that Coburn was a consistent conservative.

But this endorsement of Rubio over Cruz really puzzles me.

But ANYONE who endorses Rubio is a RINO.

There is no escaping that.

For a short time, Dr. Coburn was the best Republican in the Senate. Of course, there was little competition for that title after Jesse Helms retired.
