'Get in the plane and go home. It's over there': Donald Trump is caught on mic [dissing] Christie...

The theme music from Harrison Ford's movie 'Air Force One' blared over loudspeakers in a rural Tennessee airport hangar, and minutes later a less presidential noise wafted over a hot mic.

'Get in the plane and go home. It's over there. Go home.'

That was Donald Trump, the Republican presidential front-runner, telling his newest endorser Chris Christie in front of 12,000 people exactly where to go and how to get there.

Christie had just sung The Donald's praises following the dramatic entrance of his plane in a stunt the campaign invented a month ago in Dubuque, Iowa.

And more importantly, he had trashed Marco Rubio.

The boyish Florida senator who has given Trump his share of heartburn in recent days, Christie told thousands clumped shoulder-to-shoulder, 'said he's gonna work as hard as he can as long as he can to win the Republican nomination.'

'That would be something new for Marco Rubio – to show up to work at all!'

'How about a refund, Senator Rubio?' he asked of the senator who has skipped more hearings on Capitol Hill than he's attended in five years on the job.

Christie and Trump had strode down a set of tarmac stairs from what Rubio now calls 'Hair Force One' to the strains of Marc Cohn's 'Walking in Memphis,' a hat tip to the music city just a half hour's drive away.

A deafening roar set the scene. Christie knocked young Marco out of the park. And then Trump showed him the back of his hand.

It was, as one Twitter wag opined, the political political equivalent of leaving the money on the nightstand.

It’s the majority of the American people and Trump against the enemies of the republic, folks.

We must stand strong together. The war has just begun.

Ok I did some research and Christie was to introduce him at this rally, Trump had another plane ready for Christie to fly back to N.J.....there was no hard feelings, if you listened really close, Christie introduced him, then Christie said thank you, and Trump said ok, the plane is over there, go home....and then Trump praised Christie for his remarks and said how grateful he was to Christie...so the media is trying to make something out of nothing AGAIN...lies, lies, lies!!!

This is totally false. He sounded like he was taking care of him or offering him a fre ride, not trying to get rid of him.

I agree with you...Trump wasn’t saying anything bad. As Christie said ..they’ve been friends for years and now they’re no longer competitors.

Yet Trump accepted his endorsement.

I would assume he would accept an endorsement from Hairy Reid too.

I guess I’d have to hear the tone...but I don’t see how that is disrespecting him...just pointing out something.

whatevah.

I’m still undecided, and I have to vote in about two weeks.

I saw the video and I agree. This is provided just to show what the foreign press is doing.

Great to hear from someone who was actually there. Thank you, ebshumidors. Was it an excited crowd with lotsa enthusiasm?

Christie knocked it out of the park...and each little think he said was based on fact.

At some point, Trump called him a great prosecutor. Can you say AG?

Complete bullshit! I saw that rally and I also saw the one in Alabama earlier in the day. Christie looked and sounded a little weaker at the Tennessee rally. Like he was under the weather. Trump was just telling him to go home and get some rest.

I really doubt he was being rude to Christie at all. This is the kind of thing that the overzealous press does and it always backfires against them. We know they hate Trump. That’s their problem not ours.

Agreed. I’m still not sure Christie has a place in the Trump administration.

Has anyone stopped to think that what he said to Christie was for security reasons? We know Trump has constant death threats and even some thinly veiled ones from the GOPe and the media. He likely was telling Christie to get out of Dodge and how to do it safely

Are you people DEAF? Even through the bad audio, I can hear Trump’s tone & inflection. It wasn’t a slam. It wasn’t a joke. It was a concerned compassionate Trump, thanking a friend and telling him he had done enough and he should go home and get some rest.

Talk about a NOTHING burger, this is a NOTHING Whopper.
