Justice Scalia spent his last hours with members of this secretive society of elite hunters
https://www.washingtonpost.com ^ | Feb 24, 2016 | Amy Brittain and Sari Horwitz

When Justice Antonin Scalia died 11 days ago at a West Texas ranch, he was among high-ranking members of an exclusive fraternity for hunters called the International Order of St. Hubertus, an Austrian society that dates back to the 1600s.

After Scalia's death Feb. 13, the names of the 35 other guests at the remote resort, along with details about Scalia's connection to the hunters, have remained largely unknown. A review of public records shows that some of the men who were with Scalia at the ranch are connected through the International Order of St. Hubertus, whose members gathered at least once before at the same ranch for a celebratory weekend.

Members of the worldwide, male-only society wear dark green robes emblazoned with a large cross and the motto "Deum Diligite Animalia Diligentes," which means "Honoring God by honoring His creatures," according to the group's website. Some hold titles, such as Grand Master, Prior and Knight Grand Officer. The Order's name is in honor of Hubert, the patron saint of hunters and fishermen. ...

Cibolo Creek Ranch owner John Poindexter and C. Allen Foster, a prominent Washington attorney who traveled to the ranch with Scalia by private plane, hold leadership positions within the Order. It is unclear what, if any, official association Scalia had with the group. ... The society's U.S. chapter launched in 1966 at the famous Bohemian Club in San Francisco, which is associated with the all-male Bohemian Grove - one of the most notorious secret societies in the country.

You mean at the guy’s left elbow, and yes. It’s Nixon.

Reagan is to the right of the guy’s right elbow.

Neither he nor Reagan look like they’re much agreeing with whatever the speaker is saying. Was Reagan sitting Governor then?

The K of C, the Masons, this hunting thing all get passes, as they were formed when the culture was all about robes, many wore them all day long or they belong to a faith that used to wear them and some members still do. The fraternity is like, ‘hey we will keep our traditions, in some regards we will dress like these guys we admire or whatever.’

But how do you explain the guys in the modern era who start up one of these fraternities and also start wearing weird robes and having ceremonies for absolutely no modern cultural or historical reason?

Can you imagine how women would be talked about if we had all these secret societies? We’d be considered childish or crazy.

What about Odd Fellows? Knights of Pythias? Eastern Star? Daughters of the Nile? Rebekah Lodge? Rainbow Girls? DeMolay?

I think one or two uncles were Freemasons. It doesn't seem like young people are drawn to those things today.

My heritage. I think I know why, some of it but not necessarily all, has always spooked me. For starters, our next-door neighbor was high up in the Masons, I was very young, he died suddenly, and he is the first person I ever saw dead. I think it was my mother who explained what the white apron was.

My grandfather was in the Odd Fellows. I just adored him, but he died when I was 5. Years later my dad's cousin said he had a bad temper and beat his horses. It didn't make me stop loving his memory, but it does make you think. No, it has nothing to do with his fraternal organization. Odd Fellows sound benign enough. My sister got a nice scholarship through them, has some good accomplishments, well-earned..

I threw my grandfather's apron away on purpose.

This one is interesting. Look whose name is placed as speaker @ 3:45 a Supreme Court Justice - interesting. I’m surprised that placed has not been burned down by lightening strikes. A very weird place is all I can say.

Secretive — with a website. Funny thing- people go to hunting resorts, to....hunt. Of course there’s no private clubs in Wash, DC that the Post owners editors belong to-—Nooooo! It is a private estate, and people come and go in private.

Either way— there still should have been a blood/fluid draw done on the Justice. To verify enzymes and cause substantiated by his personal physician.

Sure- you’re right. Like the Continental Congress— remember them? The British should have taken them out and shot them,
meeting in secret and all. Ridiculous. People are free to associate in a free society. Evan Mr. Trump at his lousy golf clubs where he rips off idiots who think they can chase a ball around sculpted violated “nature preserve” tax dodged real estate developments.

Like i-phones— “if you have nothing to hide what do you care” mentality. Comfortable with a police state.

A club with decorated war heroes in it— sure, they’re up to something. Call janet napolitano or jeh johnson- “see something, say something”.... they are “not of the Body”.

Pure socialism/statism raises its not so secretive head through the mouthpiece of the WaPo.

Please—get a life, or at least try to live on on your own terms, like a good conservative.

Don’t know about that BUT we DO know that Rahm Emmanuel AND President obamaumao both belong to a homosexual bathhouse in Chicago. That is— a PRIVATE club for queers to meet and “greet” LOL.

It’s a step up from Iron John drum circles naked in the woods or maybe Wiccan conventions of ugly nude people. Bad visuals.

Now, how appropriate is that?

Isn’t it interesting that their motto is “Weaving Spiders come Not Here” when i bet you dollars to doughnut that they are weaving all sorts of mischief there.

Well that is the place where the male elites of this nation come together and plan their backstabbing toward The American People. I’m surprised to see that photo of Ronald Reagan being there.
