Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is within 1 point of Ted Cruz in Cruz's home state, according to a poll released Wednesday.
Cruz has 29 percent support in Texas, followed closely by Trump, at 28 percent, and Marco Rubio, at 25 percent, according to an Emerson College poll released Wednesday. John Kasich takes 9 percent support, with Ben Carson at 4 percent.
The poll comes on the heels of Trump's dominant performance in the Nevada caucuses Tuesday, his third straight win in the GOP race.
Texas is one of the dozen states voting on Super Tuesday next week, and the billionaire businessman has made clear that he intends to beat Cruz in his home state.
"I think it's very likely that Mr. Trump can win here in Texas," Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson told CNN on Wednesday morning.

Hopefully the people of Texas will hold the line and not allow a liberal democrat (Trump who is also a narcissistic and amoral liar) to win the Republican nomination. I hope that Cruz and Rubio both train their guns on Trump in the debate tomorrow night and I hope Trump’s campaign dies there.
Here, take the tampon. Blood is flowing from your everywhere.
Amen.
Emerson College poll? Really?
Get a life folks.
Cruz is up by 15 in most polls in TX.
Please, I almost threw up on my keyboard. super freak
“But when you are the winner, the sky is the limit. I love looking at the sky these days.”
Isn’t it beautiful? I think Trump is wrong when he says we will get bored with winning, or get tired of winning.
Not going to happen for a very long time.
Winning Texas would eliminate his primary pest.
Cruz is up by 15 in most polls in TX.
No, Cruz is up by 15 in the Houston poll ONLY. Unless you can point to another poll.
RCP has Cruz up by 6

Will you Texans rememember in 2018 that your sitting Senator didn’t bother to tell you in 2012 that he was Canadian?
I only know that I’ll be picking the guy who did exactly what he promised to do when he ran in Texas. The same man that has actually been fighting for this country for YEARS AND YEARS instead of the “other guy” who was so busy lining his pockets with money, that he never did anything for the country except build fancy hotels and give money to Democrats....and THEN decided to find a conscious cause he wanted to be President.
How sad you think helping veterans and creating thousands of PRIVATE SECTOR jobs is doing nothing for the country.
How many jobs has Cruz created and what exactly has he done for us in Texas? Cruz’s entire career has been at the gov’t trough.
That was before he blew his foot off with lies!!
That. Is. A. Riot.

DALLAS - Six days before Super Tuesday, Ted Cruz and Donald Trump are now tied in Texas, according to a new public opinion poll commissioned by WFAA-TV.
Cruz and Trump both had 32 percent support from likely and actual GOP primary voters, with a 3.9 percent margin of error.
It is the most recent survey of Texas voters and the first one to show Cruz no longer leading in his home state.

You mean like these innocent sweet protesters?
Trump event; North Augusta, South Carolina 2/16/16
The protester is carrying the message from the politicians, lobbyist, donors, influence peddlers, the well connected and those with motives of bad intent.
I am confused - you named yourself after a man who swore publicly like Patton did and slapped people in public and threatened to slap and shoot people in public but you are upset at Trump acting Patton like in saying he wanted to punch a disruptor at his rally?
This Texan is voting for Ted Cruz in the Texas primary but will happily support Trump in the Fall should he become the nominee. Rubio not so much.
You should add grief counseling to your fine list of services ... they need grief counseling ...
Maybe he should be considered by DJT as a Supreme Court Justice. Better suited.
