So Donald Trump while trying to get the GOP nomination will take the beautiful witness stand at in the very near future in his own fraud trial. Gotta love it. Let's say he actually gets the nomination and the other Democrat, Hillary Clinton, gets hers. We'd have one candidate running while on trial for fraud and another under FBI investigation.
What a country.
Here are some details:
In court filings last Friday, lawyers for both sides in a long-running civil lawsuit over the now defunct Trump University named Trump on their witness lists. That makes it all but certain that the reality-show star and international businessman will be forced to be grilled under oath over allegations in the lawsuit that he engaged in deceptive trade practices and scammed thousands of students who enrolled in his "university" courses in response to promises he would make them rich in the real estate market.
Although the case has been winding its way through the courts for the past five years -- and Trump has denied all wrongdoing -- the final pretrial conference is now slated for May 6, according to the latest pleadings in the case. No trial date has been set, but the judge has indicated his interest in moving the case forward, the pleadings show.

This could be a precedent. All the Sanders voters should file a Civil Suit against all the college’s, and University’s that robbed them of tens of thousands of dollars. Got a edumacation, but no yob man.

The suit was given class action status and there are legal cases filed against trump University in several states IIRC. Cali and N.Y. for sure

Trump cruelly and cynically defrauded hundreds of people out of hard-earned money by making false promises. They got almost nothing.

It is currently being litigated. What do you think of the accusations ie. the volume, specificity? Do you seriously think this wasn’t a scam? Or do you not know anything about it?

I have been hearing about this for a long time. Trump hurt a lot of the little people, and he seems indifferent to the fact that “Trump University” was basically a scam. This has nothing to do with Cruz.
Cruz has nothing to do with trump’s fraud.
The OP reads as a description of a trial. There are no witnesses at the appellate level. Maybe there is more than one case, or maybe the case was sent back for retrial.
So? I’m not concerned. Trump university is the least of the problems we have in this country. Another red herring from the Establishment.
#46 Wrong. Trump attempted a counter suit and a dismissal last fall. The judge handed him his butt. Dismissed the counter suit and denied the filing for dismissal also gave it RICO status IIRC.That led to trump being deposed in December of last year.
Do you understand the difference between civil and criminal? Did you attend the Ted Cruz school of law?
Why does it appear this is not really a good-faith complaint but a well-timed controversy designed to take him down.

If we are going to start universities for defrauding the students, there should be thousands of them in front of Trump.
