That can’t be! According to Joe Scarborough and some freepers, Ted Cruz’s campaign is over...
Something that has gone unnoticed is that Ted Cruz wins the youth vote over Rubio and Trump. I find that really interesting.
Home state lead by single digits. Big whoop...
Trump will now go on Twitter and threaten to sue the UT/TT Poll. Oh, and BTW. the people of Texas are stupid.
Biased group, not reliable.
Of course Cruz is going to lead in Texas. He’s a native son, along with being a current sitting US senator from Texas. It would say a lot if he DIDN’T hold a lead in Texas.
Proportional state
Pretty pathetic showing by Ted in his home state. I guess Ted has a ceiling of between 35/37 in his home state. That’s terrible. Almost Jeb like.
We will know by next week.
Trump doesn’t care about losing TX else he would not have carried on this hate campaign to a favored son in TX. Cruz won the Senate thru a real grass roots effort while the hugely powerful GOPe here tried every trick in the book to defeat him. Lies, more lies and even more lies.
Unfortunately Cruz has been through some rough stuff from political parties; Trump will continue to spew the hatred because he wanted to tell everyone he won all the states. Ran the gammit. He said he was going to before the first election.
He will hate Cruz forever for winning Iowa and will continue his embarrassing attacks until Cruz finally leaves the race.
This poll was taken before the SC primary. Not accurate as it misses the Trump bump. Plus another bump for Nevada coming tonight. Its always important to read the fine print.
The University of Texas/Texas Tribune Internet survey of 1,200 registered voters was conducted from Feb. 12 to Feb. 19 and has an overall margin of error of +/-2.83 percentage points. Among self-identified Republican primary voters,, the margin of error is +/- 4.27 percentage points;
First the serious...
This should give Cruz a talking point v. Rubio.
The people who know me best support me.
The people who know you best support Trump.
And for some fun...
Now, dont shoot me, but where are the Cruz supporters to discuss how 63 pct of the state doesn’t support Ted so he’s not really winning?
Good natured teasing, laugh a little please.
I do think Cruz is going to win Texas.
Cruz has to win BIG in Texas following his abysmal performance in SC. 8 points won’t do the trick in his home state...and this poll was done before his campaign was shaken up to try to put the “dirty campaigning” meme to bed (which, IMHO, didn’t and won’t work - the damage has been done).
Carson will stay in the race at least until TX, just to drain votes from Cruz after the Iowa fiasco. That cannot help Cruz at all.
Cruz would also beat Trump in Alberta. ;-)
37 to 29 is outside the Margin of Error, so it’s a real lead. On the other hand it is only 8 points. Trump has until 1 March to degrade it. That’s about a week, isn’t it?
Not a lot of time.
Breaking "CRUZ CAMPAIGN STAFFER SAYS CAMPAIGN IS DONE "
A Ted Cruz campaign staffer today told CNN the campaign is done. "His Campaign is done."
"The Cruz campaign has to focus on getting basic campaign techniques right," said a Republican operative who works for the presidential campaign, who asked not to be identified. "I don?t think Cruz can win the nomination at this point. I think his campaign is done."
Cruz took a huge blow on Saturday after he could not win a single county in South Carolina, a state with an enormous evangelical vote.
So it's come to this: touting the fact that Ted Cruz is leading Donald Trump in a poll from Cruz's home state?
kthxbye
