Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz said Monday heâs fired campaign communications director Rick Tyler, after his top spokesman promoted a video that wrongly depicted Florida Sen. Marco Rubio as trash-talking the Bible. The Texas senator announced that he's asked for the resignation at a press conference Monday afternoon.

Yup...the difference between an obnoxious New Yorker and a gentleman from Texas...
Well hey there hypocritical hack!!!! You willing to show me where you castigated trump for being a liar yet? Maybe you don’t want to go all the way back to where trump compared Carson to a child molester. So how about you just show us where you called trump out for his lie about what coburn (didn’t) say?
Or are you content with just being a hypocritical hack?
So according to you, as President we should expect the same pattern with Cruz. Hiring unqualified people then after the damage has been done, firing them? This is never a good trait for a leader.
Rick Tyler = Scapegoat
Or, leaders and followers.
So Trump never made a bad hire...?
Rick Tyler is a slick fellow, but he is just one of many hired by Cruz who has been doing exactly what he was hired to do. In other words he is a scape goat... who knows which one of the team actually came up with the idea for this latest false ad against Rubio. I would give about 10 to 1 odds that it wasn’t Rick Tyler.
This is just one small example of the type of misinformation that the Cruz culture has come up with. The Cruz culture may be on the opposite side of the political spectrum, but the members feel every bit as justified as Obama or Clinton using any type of dirty trick to win and that the end always justifies the means. We have seen many examples here at Free Republic from certain posters. There are those who continue with a false narrative long after it has been thoroughly debunked.
This type of tactic normally does work well, but this year people are much more sensitive to it, and it is not working. I am glad to see that Cruz has taken meaningful action to try and change his campaign’s direction. I hope that the message trickles down to all levels of his supporters. This move has made me wonder if his reputation has been unfairly tarnished by his own upper echelon and his supporters. Let’s all hope that Ted really is not as bad as his supporters have made him seem. He still could become our next president at this critical time.
So Trump never made a bad hire?
We're we not talking about this story, right here, about Cruz?
See the tagline.
“So Trump never made a bad hire...?”
I’m sure he has and he didn’t need media attention to fire them! He does NOT use professional K ST. whores.
Cruz KNEW what this guy was when he hired him! Cruz doin’ a LOT of backtracking over the people he picks.....like his FRIENDS John Roberts, Srinivasan , etc, etc.
Ya notice how the entire article is about Cruz, yet suddenly some folks want to make it about Trump?
CONSTANTLY.
But ya gotta forgive them, they have NOTHING positive to talk about their candidate. Always excuses.
I’ve seen the same disinformation debunked dozens of times and they just keep repeating it, like it will become truth if they spew it enough.
Cruz has so many parallels to Obama it’s terrifying. Except that we KNOW Cruz was foreign born. How soon they forget!
——Or, leaders and followers.——
So leaders fire people and followers ask for your resignation instead of kicking a man in a bad situation...
got it...rolling eyes...
I guess you have never been there
I have, both sides of the table...
Cruz said”even if true”.....this is getting beyond sleaze.
Cruz failed to hire right people. He is not fit for this job.
Cruz, not Trump, is the one who wrote a book with the title “A Time For Truth”. He lied about that too.
BTW nice as hominem!
Like he “effectively” tied with Rubio for 2nd place in NC. And, if we don’t vote for him we are effectively not Christian and just might effectively go to Hell. ;>)
Trump has his own question marks-like his record and his obnoxious personality, which will not fare well in the general. I started out as Cruz supporter, but this just adds to the image of him being a sleazy, win-at-all-costs lawyer type. I would still take him, or Trump, or Rubio, over The Witch. We have to win this election, folks, or it’s all over.
It’s not about me. It’s about Ted’s lies. See post 27.
Cruz lies and campaign dies.
We’re we not talking about this story, right here about Cruz?
This story or thread is not about Trump. Get it?
