Donald Trump consults with Rudy Giuliani as he builds political kitchen cabinet

Fresh off back-to-back victories in the Republican presidential race, Donald Trump is moving to expand his tight-knit campaign by building a political kitchen cabinet that includes former New York mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani.

Giuliani, who has not made an endorsement in the 2016 contest, said in an interview Sunday that he has conferred at length with Trump at least three times in the past month, both in person and by phone, and has counseled the real estate mogul "as a close personal friend" about campaign issues.

"We've been talking. Donald and me, Donald and a few other friends who know politics. He calls to check things out or I'll call him to say, 'Donald, you're going too far' or 'What you said was great' or maybe 'Change it a bit.' It’s nothing formal. It's kind of a running conversation," Giuliani said. "There is candor and there is trust."

Both aim a NY residence.
A Trump Giuliani ticket is unconstitutional unless Rudy has moved...

Trump won’t give up NY residence, not if he’s smart... too many electoral votes to risk.

Yes, but he may have to make some compromise with the GOPe if he wants them to come around to his side of the table.

Rudy would be good as VP with that in mind. Reagan had to take the first Bush for the same reason.
Remember that the VP does not set the agenda.

Anyone think of Carson for Health and Human Services? I like Carson. A couple of years ago I wrote him a letter on such subject and received a two page latter in return.

The VP breaks Senate ties and attends funerals. Also, he hopefully gains votes for the presidential ticket. Sometimes he ends up as president, either by misfortune or in the next election. That’s the job. ;-)

Rudy should get DHS. He’s the only one who could put his boot up enough asses to make that bloated bureaucracy do its job properly.

Carson brings NOTHING to any administration and doesn’t belong in D. C. at all. Okay, he’s a “nice man”; so is my dentist.

True, but that position isn't exactly up his alley.

I'd rather see him as AG or some such. Sec Def?

Rudy is an old guy. Rich from Public Sector retirements (not derogatory) he does not need to work at some cabinet position. He loves being able to walk over to Fox and opine but I think he’s past auditioning for a gov job.
