Apparently ive misread that all my life. However that could pose a problem as NY would habe to name a second person than the rest of the states. If NY is the difference then it could cause chaos. You would im effect need a landslide.to overcome potential conflicts

Interesting, thank you

“Trump seems to think it is.”

For the nomination, of course.

And the Trumpies will "ooh" and "aah" and say how wonderful Trump is...

But if Rudy were running in the primary, they'd disparage him as "GOPe" and probably question whether he was a natural born citizen.

Rudy is a squish on the 2A...

For the nomination, of course.

The 12th Amendment says, "The electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves...

So I think it's more than just an Electoral College issue. The Constitution says the president and vice president will not be from the same state.

So all of the “conservatives” who absolutely shredded Rudy as a liberal when he ran for president will now be talking about how great it is that Trump is relying on Rudy for advice...

But NRA belonging, gun owning Trump isn’t! He fully believes in the Second Amendment and is for good people allowed to legally openly carry. Do you have a “problem” with his position on guns?

Your comment was towards a comment about Rudy, not Trump.

But I’ll nibble at your red herring about Trump...

Trump’s positions on the 2A aren’t that firm either. NRA membership or not, he has called for “assault” weapons bans in the past.

Color me unconvinced about their positions. They’re both squishes on this.

The NRA is no paragon of virtue either. They endorsed Harry Reid. NRA membership is not some kind of get of jail free card. The NRA will take anyone’s money.

It's kind of a running conversation," Giuliani said. "There is candor and there is trust."

I believe Trump is getting a lot of excellent advice from Rudy and others. Those who want to paint him as unhinged don't know the facts.

Rudy is okay, but he’s too East Coast Republican. Watch yer ass, Donald.

So is The Donald. New York Values and all that.

I was surprised he kicked butt in S. Carolina.

I'm thinking the immigration stand outweighs evangelical zeal.

More to it than that. Cruz has been under attack since he told the folks in Iowa he would end the Ethanol Mandate. All the GOPee and Special interest people, plus the Trump supporters are a formidable attack squad. All the stories break at the 'right' time, and if there is nothing new, the rehash of the last bit goes on again.

I have been surprised that Rubio has had the success he has had, especially his Iowa showing, which came from nowhere.

We went through the Rudy flame wars here back when. Those here, if not under a new name, are often survivors of that era, and did not back Rudy for a host of reasons (I didn't either). That he's all okay now because he is under Trump's wing is downright stupefying.

Who would you prefer for a presidential adviser...Rudy or CRAZY GLENN BECK?

Neither. But I'm not running for president.

The last time I read the 2nd, it said the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Where do “cities” get the right to ignore that?

Lookup “Incorporation Doctrine” and see what side you think is consistent with limiting the Federal government. Whatever side you pick, it needs to apply to the entire Bill of Rights, and issues like abortion and gay marriage.

One example: “In the 1833 case Barron ex rel. Tiernon v. Mayor of Baltimore, 32 U.S. (7 Pet.) 243, 8 L. Ed. 672, the Supreme Court expressly limited application of the Bill of Rights to the federal government.” After that came Lincoln, the 14th Amendment, etc. and the long slide.
