That is CRAZY...
Did you take a peek at my profile page?

Mandates eliminates freeloaders, who when can’t pay their medical bills, the others get stuck with their bills in the form of higher premiums.

Keep in mind the real reason premiums are so high is BECAUSE OBAMACARE MANDATES TOO MANY FEATURES in your policy.

#182 just how many people living in section 8 housing and unemployed are not freeloading?
Someone is paying for either their medicaid or subsidized Obamacare.

Rush’s meme on Mon Tue: Don’t let Trump get close to 50 in Nevada . Without actually saying that.

And still, none of that explains how he is going to fulfill his promise that everyone is covered, or why he would preface his comments by saying Republicans won't like them.

This is just a shell game. When asked a question to which he gives an answer that doesn't play well politically, he just backs off it a day or so later. Which means the original question is left unanswered.

They all are. And....the biggest reason middle class families file for bankruptcy is.....MEDICAL BILLS!

Who pays when middle class can’t pay their healthcare bills? That is right, we, the people who carry health insurance and pay our hospital bills in full.

So I guess the pre-existing conditions cases go to medicaid.

We shouldn't have to "guess", though. On an issue this important, we should be able to ask him a question and get a relatively straightforward answer.

As for Medicaid, the vast majority of people make to much to be covered - it's essentially the poverty line. So that's not an answer unless he is going to spend yuuuuge suma of money to dramatically expand Medicaid coverage.

Rush has lost me, with his backing candidates in the pockets of their ultra-rich donors. May be he is one of the big contributors.

He has said he LIKES Planned Parent hood, they do good things for women, just wants the abortion part gone... .. which is it today?? Tomorrow it will be defund it...The next day he says he likes it...but then when he gets in office and seals the election DEAL with the American People , he will shed his costume ( minus the orange hair and face) and do as he well pleases!!!

In the interview he first says "defund" it. Then two sentences later he says, "Many of the things should be defunded".

You first. Trump is being way more realistic on the preexisting condition mandate than Cruzers casually suggesting it will be repealed. With millions now on that gravy train it’s complete fantasy thinking that will get through Congress.

The reality is that kenyancare is here in some form for good because the Dems nuked the old health insurance system. It’s gone and the toothpaste (old policies) can’t be put back in the tube.

Just DESTROY ALL OF OBAMACARE..PERIOD..the whole thing is a disaster..our health care system doesn’t need “Fixing” it was fine BEFORE Obamacare..no one should have to be forced to buy health care, if they dont want it, they dont have to have it, but for those who want it, use the free market so that people can make their OWN decisions about what health care plan they want, their doctor, their plan, that simple. This whole Obamacare fiasco was all about giving illegal aliens free health care so they would vote Democrat, it ended up ruining the entire health care field

I don’t believe Trump is a conservative in the truest sense of the word. His life’s focus has been that of a pragmatist. He sees the world as it is and takes action that he believes in. Immigration, trade, and the deficit are perfect examples. If we don’t like his policies on those issues, then we should vote for a traditional “conservative” lawyer. Cruz and Rubio appear to be the current options. Great lawyers, right? Go Cruz/Go Marco!

Not trained. Informed. Trump didn’t become an international business tycoon living in a cave. It seems to me that very few FReepers have ever run a business.

I voted for Carter in 1980. During the next 4 years, I saw everything Reagan said come true, and everything Carter said proven false. I was a conservative by 1980.

___________________________________________________________

I voted for the Libertarian candidate in 72 and 76, couldn’t stand the liberal positions of Nixon and Ford. I happpily voted for Reagan.

What Reagan understood what many conservatives and almost all the Presidential candidates fail to understand, is that how to solve problems isn’t top down solutions emanating from DC crafted by ‘The Smartest People’.

It is by following Constitutional principles. They maximize individual freedom, this also provides the most access to a free marketplace. That allows to greatest number of people to innovate and create solutions that no one imagined. That is the silent hand of the marketplace at work.

Constitutional principles reject crony capitalism where government picks winners and losers where some companies are subsidized at the expense of others. The government meddling in the ev=economy creates many of the problems we face today.

When people support stimulus programs, when they support the auto bailout, when they support TARP when they support reckless Eminent domain where government uses private property to try and maximize tax revenues by redistributing it to businesses for private gain. America is prevented from being great again.

We don’t need a new immigration bill we don’t need new rules. We need to ENFORCE EXISTING LAWS, build the wall that was already authorized by Congress, Deny government benefits to those who are here illegally.

Well Obama screwed up. First the worst is keeping kids on the insurance until 27. Then the issue of those having a disease before getting insurance. The lifetime cap. Such a mess. Not sure how anybody is going to be able to fix Obamacare without keeping those that are already liked by the American people. Would a free market keep all those items? Can you imagine Trump saying, “sorry kids you are off your parent's insurance” or worse, “sorry you have cancer, no more insurance”. Sorry kid with a major disease, you've used your million now go away. Can't see how we can fix this mess Obama left us with. it is going to be a challenge. Do you find it easy to deal with?

You first.

I don't understand what this means. I said Trump has made a promise of "universal coverage", but has not explained how that will occur. In fact, he's now disclaimed the only two means for that to happen - single-payer and individual mandate. So what does "you first" even mean?

specifically Trump is being way more realistic on the preexisting condition mandate than Cruzers casually suggesting it will be repealed.

What does this have to do with Cruz? Trump's plan has to make sense on its own terms - whatever those are. But by promising universal coverage while disclaiming the only ways to get there, he's being incredibly dishonest. He's promising that everyone is going to be covered, but that it really won't cost anything. That's crap.

Cruz has promised to repeal Obamacare, but has not promised that everyone has coverage. So it would be fair to attack HM for being heartless or whatever, but he's at least not promising a benefit that is impossible to deliver.
