I recall that it was Powell who cautioned GHWB about the optics of the Highway of Death and world opinion in the aftermath. So much so that it convinced GHWB NOT to complete the rout of IRAQ and take Baghdad.

In a press conference today Former UN Ambassador Susan Rice replied to questions that she was lied to prior to going on TV five times to perpetuate the false information regarding video induced riots in Libya that resulted in the death of an ambassador and several others.
Colin Powell is a dirt bag who got where he did because of affirmative action. Nothing he says should be believed.
Im not a Rumsfeld fan but itwasnt him who pushed the Iraq war. According to his personal account, He was surprised as others in the DOD when this was dropped in his lap. This was Wolfowitz and Cheney. If the intel community gamed the war on someones bequest, every dead soldiers family should demand another congressional hearing and demand prison time for those responsible. I believe GWB was misled, and IMO, we should have killed Saddam in 1991-1992 and not fought the same war twice.
Can any of you point to posts you made prior to 2015 stating that Bush lied? Seems to be the cool thing to say now that Donald says it. That doesn’t say much for your ability to think for yourselves. You just follow the latest cult of personality.

If you did, then you’ll know that Powell says he didn’t find out until later that he was lied to
I still can't believe that anyone on FR is excusing Code Pink talking points. I'm about as angry as I have ever been. It's a betrayal of the worst kind.
