Former Secretary of State Colin Powell, appearing on the June 10, 2007, edition of "Meet The Press," reiterated and expanded on his claim that he was misled by unknown forces in the intelligence community who failed to reveal vital information to him before his infamous February 5, 2003, speech before the
They are Colin Powell talking points too.
Did GW Bush tell the truth about finding WMDs in Iraq?
I support the Deng Xiaoping rule for judging the source: "Black cat, white cat, no matter. Does it catch mice?".
And, by the way, what's your plan (politically) for the 69 million Obama supporters?
It was generally accepted that GWB went into Iraq because of daddy issues. George 1 didn't go after Sadam and some people questioned that. So GWB had something to prove or whatever.
That's my recollection of the events and narrative back then.
I don’t think “lied” is a mischaracterization of what Powell himself says in this Meet the Press interview.
Trump is on pretty solid ground when Bush’s own Secretary of State says Bush’s own Intel community intentionally gave him known, false and already refuted information and pretended it was reliable information.
It was DECEIT of the worst order, and lie is entirely appropriate. That is the definition of “to lie”.
Why are you dancing around the facts?
Something wrong with the fact that we found WMD?
Will you admit that we did?
Starting in 2004, some members of the George W. Bush administration and Republican lawmakers began to find evidence of discarded chemical weapons in Iraq. But when the information was brought up with the White House, senior adviser Karl Rove told them to "let these sleeping dogs lie."
The issue of Iraq's WMD remnants was suddenly thrust back into the fore this week, with a blockbuster New York Times report accusing the Bush administration of covering up American troops' chemically induced wounds.
To people familiar with the issue, both inside that administration and outside, the blame for the coverup falls on one particular set of shoulders: Rove's.
Yes. But they're blind to that.
I was probably as strong in looking for evidence of WMDs on Free Republic pages as anyone in those days. I kept an entire list of instances where different types and ages of labs, precursors, shells, cannisters, etc were reported.
EVERY ONE of them was debunked by the Bush administration.
Did Bush tell the truth about finding WMDs in Iraq?
Still waiting. Where’s the mark?
So, did the Bush Administration LIE about finding WMDs in Iraq?
Not according to the links but whatever lie makes you comfortable with The Donald, right?
We're done.
You received my answer.
Did Bush find WMDs in Iraq?
“EVERY ONE of them was debunked by the Bush administration.”
No, they weren’t.
The sarin ied was a binary mix in flight sarin shell that Iraq did not possess prior to 1995 and the booting of the inspectors.
Further, we kept finding the darn things.
And ISIS just fired mustard gas shells.
You can’t fire shells that have been buried, you would have to find shells stored in something like, I dunno, a bunker.
Will you admit we found them?
Especially since the CIA bought 400 borak sarin rockets?

“known as Operation Avarice, began in 2005 and continued into 2006, and the American military deemed it a nonproliferation success. It led to the United States’ acquiring and destroying at least 400 Borak rockets, one of the internationally condemned chemical weapons that Saddam Hussein’s Baathist government manufactured in the 1980s but that were not accounted for by United Nations inspections mandated after the 1991 Persian Gulf war.”

US official: 'IS making and using chemical weapons in Iraq and Syria'
11 September 2015
There is a growing belief within the US government that the Islamic State militant group is making and using crude chemical weapons in Iraq and Syria, a US official has told the BBC. The US has identified at least four occasions on both sides of the Iraq-Syria border where IS has used mustard agents, the official said. The official said the chemical was being used in powder form. A BBC team on the Turkey-Syria border has seen evidence backing these claims. The US believes the group has a cell dedicated to building these weapons.
The facts and the links I provided say yes, we did.
Question is, why won’t you personally admit that we did?
Whether bush lied or not, it isn’t the point. This country has been over this for thirteen years and every election cycle, it has never been about the lies and distortions created by the Obama administration. So here we go again, here comes the relevant one, Colin Powell, he trots out again with his victimhood. Are you aware that he has been a supporter of OBAMA and his claims do nothing but protect him. Maybe he is the one who is lying.
Instead of the democrats opening their Bush lied playbook, Donald opens it for them, a self-described Republican. What a joke.
I am no Trumpster.
Just trying to keep the sad story straight.
it is not worth my breath to try to teach you what you are incapable of learning.
to understand you must learn to think in terms of decades rather then late this afternoon. being fixated on today, you can not possibly understand
So, which one did the Bush administration stand up on and say, “Finally, we have FOUND wmds in Iraq. Our search is over. Our position has been proven.”
Which one?
Mean Trump man talked about our guy all wrong, wrong tone.
He does it again little Jebby will get out his soldering iron.
