Donald Trump is running riot in the GOP china shop and gleefully tearing the place up.
Consider the strength of Trump’s position: If he wins South Carolina by a big margin, he goes into Nevada with momentum, and the latest poll there has him leading by 26 points and pushing 50 percent. If he enters Super Tuesday a week later having won three out of the past three states — and with Cruz diminished by a South Carolina loss and Rubio having won nowhere — he could easily win, say, 10 contests that day.
It might still be possible to beat Trump at that point if the field is narrowed (states don’t become winner-take-all until March 15), but doing so would involve wrestling to the ground a candidate who will have cut a formidable swath through the first month of the nomination battle.
Even now, it's hard to imagine a happy outcome for the party from the three likeliest scenarios:

Trump’s plans change with the political winds. I put no faith in what says he’ll do in office. He’s taken both side of virtually every issue he’s ever spoken on over time. Yet you think this latest version is the final real Trump. Trump says what it takes to make the deal, you’re the guy he’s making the “deal” with.
He’s wanted to ban assault weapons. He’s wants less gun regulation. Pick your year.
He’s wanted Canadian style health care. He wants a market approach - oh, sorry - he wants universal coverage that the “government pays for” - accept the government doesn’t pay for anything. Again, pick your year.
He’s totally all in for all forms of abortion including partial birth at full term. He’s pro-life. Pick your year.
He’s for higher taxes - he was very much against Reagan’s tax reforms - and wanted government to continue real estate tax shelters or otherwise pay 50%+ in taxes to force people to invest in real estate development. He’s for low taxes. Pick your year.
I can go on...
Right over your head again. Get some sleep, maybe it will make sense later...
I did my research. i know what I am talking about. You know nothing based on facts. I respect your opinion. You don't like Trump. OK, but your opinion is not based on facts.
To some degree the rise of Trump is a reflection of the desires to destroy Washington DC and the political cartel(s) of the uni-party.
His supporters don’t really care that he’s lied or flip flopped. They simply want the cartel destroyed, and are willing to take a chance, any chance, to make that happen.
What comes next is not knowable. But that alternative appears to be better to them than what would come next with a GOPe, which is essentially a Killery regime.
Point out one detail I posted on Trump’s positions in post #64 that isn’t a fact hotdog.

Yes, and what seems clear is that they will oppose Trump or sit on their hands rather than fight against Cankles or Dinobernie. I think that is part of Trump’s appeal-—people know this is against the Uniparty.
