Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump has fallen behind Ted Cruz in the national GOP horserace, according to a brand-new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
In the poll, Cruz is the first choice of 28 percent of Republican primary voters, while Trump gets 26 percent. They're followed by Marco Rubio at 17 percent, John Kasich at 11 percent, Ben Carson at 10 percent and Jeb Bush at 4 percent.
I checked out the bankruptcy stuff when I learned of it a while ago. It's old news.
Meanwhile, Saint Ted hasn't exactly accomplished much in the Senate.
He's running a questionable campaign with some missteps along the way. He's a junior, 1st term Senator with very limited accomplishments in his life.
Why would I get excited over that?
Nevermind, my mistake. Thought we were tallking about the South Carolina primary. Same organization uses a much larger sample for a State Primary than what was used in this “National Poll”.
Good luck with this N=400. That is a joke.
The game is to ensure neither Trump nor Cruz gets enough delegates to win the nomination outright by placing them neck and neck and having enough parasitic candidates to bleed off sufficient delegates that with Super delegates the GOPe can force a brokered convention and install Bush or another no-win Rino.
Very cool, no worries, back and forth is what is expected.
In before “When’s the national primary...”
You noticed that too?! hahahaha,,you’re right. We won’t see it on this thread. It’s all good.
**I totally believe it considering how hard The Donald was a ripping up GWB and how easy he went on Obama who basically said Trump wasn’t qualified to be President and that the American people should reject him....**
Trump tweeted back something about him/obungahole being a “community organizer”. lol
“Funny, thought all you Trump guys believed absolutely in the polls. “
Who told you that?
“Trump is kinda like Hillary. The more you see, the harder it is to support. Bombastic screaming at the media is ok but against tried and true conservatives it gets old.”
Not so sure about that. Over the decades Hillary has ridden the coattails of her hubby in name only.
Trump has been in the public eye since the 70’s and he has ridden the coattails of no one.
Trump has met a man with backbone who will not give in to his bullying!
Uh no.
The man who you claim has backbone is actually just another dyed in the wool politician with BACKERS, as in DONORs. The Donors are supplying the backbone for Cruz,,and the directives.
Also, Cruz was endorsed by James Dobson today.
Yeah. I had another unsolicited e-mail from Ted today telling me that.
I got the same email,,was also asking for MORE money.
So nice Trump doesn’t ask for my money. I like that.
And Iowa.
And in hypothetical one-on-one match ups, Trump trails both Cruz (56 percent to 40 percent) and Rubio (57 percent to 41 percent). In January, Trump was ahead of Rubio (by seven points) but behind Cruz (by eight points).â
Yeh, that was January.
“Trump has to pray that both Cruz and Rubio stay in for a long time. As soon as one drops, heâs toast. I donât know a single supporter of either person who would move to Trump. Not a chance.
Hank”
Yes, clearly, you have confirmed what we all have seen. The Cruz/Rubio crew are all about Party BEFORE America.
Thanks for clarifying that.
“T.Rump keeps acting like a petulant spoiled child because he is a petulant spoiled child. The other petulant spoiled children will support him, but the adults will not.”
The name-calling is so impressive and really makes me want to consider your candidate. Not!
Carry on.
Did this poll skew toward those who read the Wall Street Journal?
LOL, what a laugh that Cruz is about “party.” He’s a Tea Party conservative. If the Tea Party was a viable party, he’d be out of the GOP and into that one.
It has to go back to the sample set. Did it skew toward WSJ readers?
I heard Cruz’s campaign manager say that he’d read “The Art of the Deal”. He said it was the first book he’d ever read with four chapter 11’s.
I don’t know how SC goes. Maybe someone can tell us. I think?? I could be wrong where it’s an open primary where you can declare that day and vote in either primary??
Any answers?
