I get awful tired of people apologizing for telling the truth.

Just yesterday some campus cop (looks 19 years old) at Univ. Texas gave a street preacher a ticket for offending people because he said things like keep your “legs together”, “war on the anus”, and “sorority girls are sluts”. He was not on school property.

Truth hurts. If you are a slut them expect to be called one.

Or maybe he felt he should have qualified WHICH animals they are worse than. Worse than little fury kittens, but better than cockroaches.

Now, if we want to take this seriously, the difference is, like all of us, they are capable of redemption, and we should always pray and hope for that. They are made in the image of God, so it is not right to call them 'animals'. Nonetheless, while they are in the bondage of sin (and sadly the world encourages them to remain in bondage - celebrating the sin of Sodomy) they are destined to eternal damnation unless they repent.
So good for Manny to condemn the sin - the Sodomites are precious souls that we want to be saved - but it is not right to call them animals.
