I don’t understand why it is surprising to some that Cruz is so unlikable.
Since Ted has been in the Senate the rap on him has been “He’s unlikable”. The fantasy in this was the reason. “He’s too conservative, that’s why he’s disliked”.
You do not hear the negative comments from Senators about other conservative Senators such as Jeff Sessions or Mike Lee. No one says “Jeff Sessions is unlikable”.
Cruz is exactly what many of us said he was - an Iowanomaly. Just like Huck and Santorum but sleazier.
