Looks like we’re gonna have TWO conventions that resemble Chicago ‘68.
Sounds like the GOPe is preparing for defeat come November. I am starting to come around to those who call them the stupid party. We shall see.
Hmmm, the entire article is about the soon to be dead GOP.
Nothing at all about Debbie Uglyman’s open admission that the libs are up to the same thing.
Trump will take SC quite handily, and then take NV. Carson and Kasich will drop out. Going into Super Tuesday, Trump will have big leads in almost every state, and have a lot of momentum, Cruz, Rubio and Bush will be battling for the also ran slots. Trump could very well run the table on Super Tuesday, forcing Cruz, Rubio and Bush to think long and hard about whether it is even worth continuing. Their money may very well start running out, as few people will continue donating to obvious lost causes, particularly Bush.
If it plays out that way, Trump will have more than enough delegates by time the primaries are over, the others combined won’t have enough to prevent him from getting the nomination.
The new Whig Party.
The FIX may not yet be in but it is starting to slither under the door.
That may well be. I am hoping that either Cruz or Trump can marshal enough forces and through sheer numbers and will, overcome RNC attempts to fix this nomination for Jeb or Rubio in some brokered insider abortion.
I wish both good luck and no ill will, frankly. I am thinking that if this does happen and they are faced with this treachery a meeting of minds will have to occur and they will have to combine somehow. How that shakes out depends on the amount of rancor that continues between Cruz and Trump camps. Together, the numbers overcome. Apart from and against each other, the numbers diminish both and open up the proceedings for the likes of Jeb, Mitt or whatever quisling third-time loser we’ll end up with.
Good bye....GOP
Wrong. Trump can’t win. A brokered convention will at least send that vote-sucking vampire back to his brassy coffin.
Campaigns ALWAYS “secretly” plan for a brokered convention, because if that happens you better have a plan. Of course it almost never happens, and probably won’t happen this year either. But they wouldn’t be doing their job if they didn’t have a plan.
How do you know? If there is any foul play Trump will go third party and the GOPe will lose for sure in November.
So, who’s it gonna be, Jeb or Rubio? ................................ In our political world, the will of majority is only a myth. The Elite group of rulers make their own rules to protect their investments. Only a few are in it for patriotism, most are in it for the cash! I just changed my voter registration from Independent so I could vote in the Republican primary. The more I see into this, the more I see an insider’s club where the choices are restricted to those who will protect the club members investment portfolios.
It could be anybody. Ryan’s name is tossed about. It won’t be Jeb, his polling numbers are awful. It could be Rubio.
The GOP doesn’t really have superdelegates because state parties can bind their votes in various ways. Dem SDs really are free agents.
The RNC allows them to be uncommitted, but also allows their votes to be determined.
They are automatic delegates in the sense that they don’t have to be elected at a state convention. However, since they are RNC members, state party members have indeed voted on them.
If Trump wins a majority of delegates but doesn’t get the nomination, he’ll have every right to complain. But if he only wins a plurality...well, that’s why not being a jerk to every other candidate may not be such a great idea.
Might as well delete one of those “not’s” in there....
I think Ryan would be toast after his budget sellout.
