We must have an immediate Scalia autopsy
American Thinker ^ | 02/16/2016 | James Lewis

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia has died, deeply mourned by his friends and admirers, while liberals are happily celebrating his demise (in their usual indecent fashion). La Raza, radical environmentalists, and the affirmative action establishment are celebrating today.

Scalia's sudden death leaves a 4-4 split on the Court, neutralizing the power of the Court until a ninth justice is confirmed. But Obama might try to make a recess appointment, thereby sabotaging the Senate's advice and consent role. He has already done that with the fraud-filled Iranian nuclear surrender "treaty."

[SNIP]

Justice Scalia's sudden passing may have been due to natural causes. But for the first time since the assassinations of JFK and Martin Luther King, Jr., many Americans are sincerely wondering what might have happened. They are not just on the paranoid fringe.

President Obama is constantly claiming unconstitutional powers, something that Justice Scalia opposed with all the intellectual force at his command. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court itself has come under serious criticism ever since Chief Justice Roberts issued self-contradictory opinions favoring Obamacare. Hillary Clinton is being credibly accused of national security felonies as secretary of state, and the DOJ and FBI are said to be at odds on indicting Hillary. If she becomes president, there is likely to be a bloodbath in the permanent government in D.C. A perfect storm is rising in American politics.

As we can tell from the jubilation on the left, Justice Scalia had hateful enemies, and he must have received death threats, which the FBI must now re-examine. The American public must also know on whose authority an obviously necessary post-mortem examination was avoided. The best way to restore public trust is to appoint a bipartisan congressional committee to oversee a medical pathology team.

I don’t believe it was foul play....but considering the timing and the nature of our government, hard to be very confident.

Incidence of progressive “silent” ischemia (low to no oxygen in the heart muscle (and/or the brain), is rather high in chronic, overweight smokers. By the monoxide from the smoke, by the potential sleep apnea (loooong pauses in respiration while sleeping causing extremely low oxygenation of tissue).

The personal physician report should help alleviate some of this mystery.

Have always raised an eyebrow to the expression “died peacefully in their sleep” when the person was completely alone, apparently. No wife present to say-— yes, he did. Or anyone else for that matter.

Sleep apnea— stopping that will get one many more years of life and recovered un-oxygenated tissues in the heart and brain. Just saying.

John Rutledge was a recess appointment, served for several months and was rejected by the Senate.

I think Eisenhower made the recess appointment and followed it immediately with a nomination after being reelected - two separate acts. Eisenhower wanted Brennan already on the Court when he campaigned in the northeast.

Reference my post # 82. Not to disturb anyone— but this can be how it happens over time. We all pass, of course.

OK— interesting that an appointment was made— not a “nomination” as the Constitution requires.

Will check this out.

Chuck, can you quote any of those family members? All I have read is vague. If you have read three articles with quotes from the family members, please share the links. Thanks.

Just check his eyes. If the blood vessels are hemorrhaged then he was suffocated.

Sorry, that was uncalled for on my part.

As was mine. Please accept my apology as well.

There should be no questions in this matter to the extent they are avoidable.

But why are there questions? Justice Scalia was almost 80. He was overweight. He was a lifelong smoker. He was diabetic. His family physician confirmed to the judge who signed the death certificate that he was not in very good health. There was no evidence at all of foul play, confirmed by U.S. Marshals and the local law enforcement authorities. Why put the Scalia family through additional pain and grief by carving their husband and father up for no reason?

” Were there any signs of poison? “

My thought is the same. Can it be possible he was poisoned? He did complained he was not feeling well that night.

Savage is listing a few things that show the need for an autopsy or independent investigation:

- The deputy who advised the JP (by phone as the JP was not present) there was no foul play and that death was "natural" was not trained in homicide

- The JP changed initial cause of death finding of "heart attack" to "natural causes"

- The JP was an appointee of obama

- Scalia's death occurred shortly after writing the majority opinion on staying the USEPA "greenhouse gases" regulations

I'm anything but a conspiracy nut, but the points are curious. There's more ... might want to check his free podcast when it's available after today's program.

I respectfully disagree. One of the 20 most important people in the USA, one who has a highly controversial role with huge impact dies, unattended, far from their home.

There should be an autopsy.

It's ridiculous that a judge is determining the cause of death by telephone as "heart attack". And she knows this how?

The truth matters, and sometimes getting the truth is inconvenient.

Savage has Trump on his show at the bottom of the hour. He may ask Trump about it. Trump will keep this going by asking lots of questions and raising questions during his numerous speeches.

Why put the Scalia family through additional pain and grief by carving their husband and father up for no reason?

Because it's not for no reason. It's for the reason of maintaining the legitimacy of the government and the Supreme Court, something he himself dedicated a big chunk of his life to.

The body was flown to VA. FWIW. Accompanied by US Marshals.

Texas surrenders to the Feds again. We can forget about getting the truth now.

Only Trump has the guts to question the official story on this. We owe this to Scalia. Without him we would be further in to tyranny than we are.
