We must have an immediate Scalia autopsy
American Thinker ^ | 02/16/2016 | James Lewis

Posted on 02/15/2016 12:17:03 PM PST by SeekAndFind

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia has died, deeply mourned by his friends and admirers, while liberals are happily celebrating his demise (in their usual indecent fashion). La Raza, radical environmentalists, and the affirmative action establishment are celebrating today.

Scalia's sudden death leaves a 4-4 split on the Court, neutralizing the power of the Court until a ninth justice is confirmed. But Obama might try to make a recess appointment, thereby sabotaging the Senate's advice and consent role. He has already done that with the fraud-filled Iranian nuclear surrender "treaty."

[SNIP]

Justice Scalia's sudden passing may have been due to natural causes. But for the first time since the assassinations of JFK and Martin Luther King, Jr., many Americans are sincerely wondering what might have happened. They are not just on the paranoid fringe.

President Obama is constantly claiming unconstitutional powers, something that Justice Scalia opposed with all the intellectual force at his command. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court itself has come under serious criticism ever since Chief Justice Roberts issued self-contradictory opinions favoring Obamacare. Hillary Clinton is being credibly accused of national security felonies as secretary of state, and the DOJ and FBI are said to be at odds on indicting Hillary. If she becomes president, there is likely to be a bloodbath in the permanent government in D.C. A perfect storm is rising in American politics.

As we can tell from the jubilation on the left, Justice Scalia had hateful enemies, and he must have received death threats, which the FBI must now re-examine. The American public must also know on whose authority an obviously necessary post-mortem examination was avoided. The best way to restore public trust is to appoint a bipartisan congressional committee to oversee a medical pathology team.

“Who gets to decide?”

Depends on the jurisdiction, in most places it would be the coroner, but it appears in this case the justice of the peace decides.

No he did not beat the actuarial table.

It is around 80 for men in his demp in the US.

Autopsy. The family is secondary, as there are national security interests here.

Without an autopsy, there will be a myriad of conspiracy theories.

Oh not at all. several people here told me they sleep with pillows over their heads for both comfort and sound proofing.

A blood test would have shown enzymes, or hormones from a heart attack. simple, non evasive.

“Respectfully, it’s a lot more important than they families wishes.”

Exactly. The family need to be made to understand that their wishes are much less important than the wishes of conspiracy loons on the internet.

To prevent the cottage industry that is already developing-— just like it has since JFK who GOT a full autopsy... and STILL.
Because the meme must continue. Along with 9-11 truthers.

My comment on another thread:

I’m no conspiracy nut, but Michael Savage is raising some interesting questions on today’s program ... questions which, without a formal autopsy, will provide conspiracy fodder for some time.

Every report said he had a pillow over his head.

Some say they sleep that way. Had some on FR say that really is the way they sleep. But it’s just an odd thing to put in a news release. That and the fact that the bed hadn’t been undone.

He comes in the room. Lies on the bed. Puts a pillow over his head. Dies.

I guess that could be perfectly normal. He’s almost 80 years old, a bit overweight imho, and always seemed red-faced to me. One article said he had a history of chronic health issues.

It certainly isn’t odd for an 80 year old to have a heart attack or whatever it was.

They are not just on the paranoid fringe.

This death was very mysterious and politically convenient for too many people.

What was he doing in Texas? Who paid for the trip? Who else was there that day? What was the actual cause of death? Were there any signs of poison?

I don't care if the family wants an autopsy or not. When people die under even the most remotely suspicious circumstances, the family has no say in whether or not the coroner does an autopsy.

I'm not being paranoid. If this were Ruth Bader Ginsberg, an autopsy would have been performed even though I think she may have died 4 years ago and her mummified body is being propped up at the bench.

It is not unreasonable to demand an inquiry.

There is the claim that Roberts was “gotten to” over his two Irish adopted kids, adopted through Brazil. That was all over the net— to explain his unbelievable 180 degree somersault over obamaumaocare— where all the other conservative justices expressed disgust with him— especially Kennedy.

He was an important judge but any case....with or without him is subject to being reversed.

Prohibition is a good example.

Hopefully, Roe vs Wade will become another example.

There is no evidence, motive, or means....the door was locked....

Right. Was there any blood test? Anything. Seems like there should have been some kind of investigation just to be sure. Put to rest all the conspiracy theories that will fly around for the next hundred years.

Seems to me, if for no other reason to prevent just these types of discussions, an autopsy would have been ordered.

Do you think that the conspiracy types are going to believe an autopsy that tells us the overweight, 79-year old, cigarette-smoking Associate Justice died of a heart attack?

There is no such thing as a "recess" "appointment" of a Supreme Court justice.

George Washington appointed South Carolina judge John Rutledge as Chief Justice of the United States during a congressional recess in 1795. Rutledge was already an Associate Justice.

New Jersey judge William J. Brennan was appointed to the Supreme Court by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956 through a recess appointment. This was done in part with an eye on the presidential campaign that year; Eisenhower was running for reelection, and his advisors thought it would be politically advantageous to place a northeastern Catholic on the court. Brennan was promptly confirmed when the Senate came back into session.

Thank you for letting us know. I’ll tune in. Thank you Michael Savage for keepinf this travesty on the front burner. And for keeping the pressure on to expose what has happened here.

No, it should be policy that autopsies are automatic on high government officials.

That takes it out of the hands of families, and out of the hands of any potential criminal death merchants.

Just make it policy.
