MARFA, Texas -- United States Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia's heart stopped beating during his sleep, Presidio County Judge Cinderela Guevara told WFAA on Sunday.

Guevara officially pronounced him dead at 1:52 p.m. on Saturday. She will be the local official who signs his death certificate.

Hours earlier, the county judge told WFAA that myocardial infarction -- or a heart attack -- would likely be the cause of death listed. Guevara later said she would confer with the Justice's personal physician on what specifically to show as the cause of death....

No.

No signs of foul play. The attending doc was contacted. Family did not want autopsy.

That leads to cause of death as natural causes...

Totally agree.

Justice Scalia’s sudden death is an incredible gift to the leftists and anarchists hell-bent on the destruction of our country.
Determining whether there was foul play or not should be a top priority here, considering the political stakes.

It wasn’t. It was ruled natural causes. No signs of foul play. Attending doc had been contacted

I’ve been a hospital nurse for a long time.

Every time we have a death, even if the patient was on hospice, we have to call it into the county medical examiner and answer a lot of questions before the person on the phone gives us a number to put on the death certificate saying there’s no cause for an investigation. That way the employees at the funeral director’s have permission to pick up the body from the morgue and take it to the funeral home for cremation or embalming.

If the patient dies within 24 hours of admission or was healthy when last seen and was “found down in the community,” then that’s a mandatory autopsy.

This is in King County, Washington, but I’m sure the laws are pretty similar elsewhere.

Because the family did not want autopsy. No signs of foul play.

Some folks here are drama queens who look for conspiracy at every turn

A pillow over the head is not necessarily unusual. If he was having a headache, he may have put it over his head to add person.....who knows. Who decided no autopsy?

I think the investigation should be careful and deliberate, say over the next ten months.

Usually J.P. justice of the peace makes death determinations in TX.

Can you tell me this...

If a dead body lays on clean sheets for hours and hours and hours..say at least 6 hours..won’t there be some kind of sign???

Like from bowels or kidney?

Does that mean they still dispatch hearses from the local funeral home when you call for an ambulance?
