Group protests Civil War Museum exhibit (because of guns)

HARRISBURG - Dozens of protesters took a stand against the National Civil War Museum Wednesday, saying that an exhibit currently on display and sponsored by the NRA sends the wrong message to young people.
âThis public institution is highlighting guns when we in fact are trying to get them off the streets and limit their use,â Homer Floyd, a demonstrator, said.
Much of the anger is directed at the display of a pistol used by William Quantrill, a Confederate fighter who captured runaway slaves in Kansas and Missouri. In one such raid during the Civil War, Quantrill and his group killed more than 180 civilians.
âI don't believe America stands for showcasing past indiscretions that have historically, to our knowledge, been overcome,â Karl Singleton, a demonstrator, said.

Of all of the issues facing Harrisburg (rampant crime, about to go bankrupt, schools failing), these blacks choose THIS as an issue? IMO, they are getting word from somewhere to play this up and protest, knowing the media will fall in line and cover them, even if they only have a dozen “protestors”.
This is about undermining the 2A; plain and simple. The government is not prosecuting those who lie on Form 4473, and that allows the straw purchasers to get off the hook; why aren’t they protesting that fact? And that is CURRENT versus 150 years ago.

And frankly, I could not care less.
I'll go one step further and wish it on them.

—1851 Navy cap and ball revolver!—
I have a repro. It’s a gas! Smoke and flame! Specially in the dark.

I had a chain fire once back in the early 1970s, scary, but no harm done. It was a replica Colt 1851 Navy!

These cap and ball revolvers are exempt from pistol registration and will provide self defense weapons if necessary. Store up on black powder because that is the way the gun grabbers intend to prevent these from being used but a pound of black powder will last a long time properly stored. Bullet molds are also easy to use and find lead sources. The caps are cheap right now and one can store several thousand economically. These gun grabber liberals belonging to the race of professional victims are dumb as dirt when it comes to weapons.

Use cream of wheat instead of grease over the ball. It is faster, cleaner, and works well.

I was told to use Crisco over the chambers.

I like to use Cream of Wheat as a filler on top of 22 grains of powder for target practice in my .44. Use a lubed wad of top of that. No chain fires.

As a museum would they have the right to suit these protestors for business interference?

I was told to use Crisco over the chambers. That works, but it is messy. Try lubed "Wonder Wads" from Calbela's that go over the powder and under the ball. Very clean shooting.
To: Inyo-Mono
Oh boy, “Calbela’s” = “Cabela’s.”

We should protest auto-shows because more people die from autos. We should protest hospitals because more people die there than anywhere else.
We should live in a shanty in Montana and protest the whole world.
