HARRISBURG - Dozens of protesters took a stand against the National Civil War Museum Wednesday, saying that an exhibit currently on display and sponsored by the NRA sends the wrong message to young people.
“This public institution is highlighting guns when we in fact are trying to get them off the streets and limit their use,†Homer Floyd, a demonstrator, said.
Much of the anger is directed at the display of a pistol used by William Quantrill, a Confederate fighter who captured runaway slaves in Kansas and Missouri. In one such raid during the Civil War, Quantrill and his group killed more than 180 civilians.
“I don't believe America stands for showcasing past indiscretions that have historically, to our knowledge, been overcome,†Karl Singleton, a demonstrator, said.

I wonder what “message” these retards want to send to “young people”. That the flippin’ Civil War was fought with Nerf balls? It’s true. You can’t fix stupid.
Quantrill and Bloody Bill Anderson are really characters only known to real Civil War buffs.... And these newbies are getting upset by the lives of people who are footnotes in the big picture of things? Imagine if they had a chance to read the economic history preceding and creating the Civil War. Now THERE’S something to get upset about!

Notice how these people never stage their protests in Chicago or Newark? Always at some display of the NRA.

Father had a co-worker who was a big anti-Second Amendment and anti-gun person. He has MS.
All of that changed one night when someone broke into his home and he knew that he and his wife were defenseless if the thug came upstairs. Fortunately, the thug didn’t. But that was the end of his anti-Second Amendment and anti-gun stupidity. “I would have given anything to have one of your guns.”
My bet is that a lot of these fools and leftwing scum will have a similar experience, except they won’t all be so lucky. And frankly, I could not care less.
