When Donald Trump heard that Ted Cruz had taken out a loan from Goldman Sachs (against his own investments, by the way), he lashed out at his rival. The loan proved that Cruz was owned by the banks! He could not be trusted! He'd just do Goldman's bidding!
Oh my, how terrible! Yes, Cruz was clearly a crony of the big banks.
This criticism caused the Cruz campaign to study Trump's own finances a bit. What they've discovered is downright shocking:
Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz on Sunday said GOP front-runner Donald Trump owes âhundreds of millions or even billionsâ in unpaid loans. âIf you look at his financial disclosure, he owes at least $480 million right now, and it could be billions,â Cruz said on âFox News Sunday.â Cruz then lashed out at Trump for criticizing him for taking out a one million dollar loan:
He knows this loan story is complete nonsense. Itâs also the height of chutzpah for someone who owes hundreds of millions of dollars, if not billions of dollars, to attack Heidi and me because we put our life savings into running for Senate. And that brings me to The Donald's character. This man is a pathological liar with no moral compass whatsoever. Time and again, he accuses his rivals of doing something he -- Trump -- himself is guilty of it. See also his accusation that evangelical leader Bob Vander Plaats demanded $100,000 to speak at a rally in Iowa, with the facts proving that Trump demanded that incredibly amount and got it.

LOL
And the award for drama goes to...
Good one.
been wondering how Cruz has helped the big banks since trump says he is owned by them. Haven’t seen evidence of them owning him.
Yet Trump can declare bankruptcy 4 times and still get banks to loan him money....the common man can’t do that!
from the WSJ article:
New ACN recruits pay $499 to become âindependent business owners.â Representatives can earn money by selling ACN services to others. Marketing materials emphasize recruiting new salespeople, who often buy ACN services as well as sell them. These new sales agents then are encouraged to recruit others.
Some regulators and consumer advocates have raised concerns about ACNâs business model, saying that few participants end up making money.
ACN has successfully fought off legal actions by regulators in Montana, Canada and Australia who claimed it was running a pyramid scheme, in which income comes primarily from recruiting new members instead of selling products. Canadian and Australian courts decided the companyâs business model didnât violate anti-pyramid-scheme laws, and in Montana, ACN resolved the matter by agreeing to beef up training

I was forced to learn more than I ever want to know about companies like this
My wife was sucker....it damn near destroyed our marriage
Cant tell you how it worked exactly but fortuitously Trump sold off his holdings in ANC and made more money It was as well timed as Hillary’s cattle futures
This is what you want for a President?
Even we supposedly uneducated, low level white, blue and pink collar, paycheck to paycheck employees, understand financial business transactions... and have at least a rudimentary understanding of costs, value adds and cash flows.
Trump supporters will never drink the suicidal sugared poison of the New World Order.
free Republic needs to chang its name to ‘Trump Republic. Any non supporter be warned
I like and agree with your comments.
I had never had any real observation of Bush other than Terry Schiavo.
Now this. Wow. This guy is a clown.
It does seem that way sometimes doesn’t?
Oh well, they have a right to their opinions.
Read the damned link....and try real hard to comprehend what you have read.
Were those Bankruptcies Chapter 11 Reorganization or Chapter 13 Liquidation?
Reorganization means the Business continues running while the Debts are renegotiated through the Bankruptcy Court.
Liquidation means the Business is closed, the Employees are fired and the Assets are sold off to pay Creditors.
Just saw the Jeb Bush Ad mentioning them. They didn’t clarify the details. Trump has / had 100 Companies under the Umbrella of the Trump Organization, so I would think that means he has a 96% Success Rate.
Just looking for clarity since I am not a carrier of either the CDS or TDS Viruses. I may be infected with BDS and RDS Strains, but they only flare up if Bush or Rubio get over 10% of the Vote.
I’m sorry for your loss and suffering.
I went thru something similar with my wife as well in modeling.
Who the hell are you to issue orders around here?
Your no one’s boss inside this forum.
Trump submitted his financials when he announced, they were perfect. If he had billions in loans like Cruz says it would have been headlines.
Cruz has got to stop lying.
Lol...well look who just butted in.
Just trying to keep Trump fawners from the equivalency of putting their fingers in their ears and singing “Lalalalala” when confronted with and presented with inconvenient FACTS.
But by all means...
sing away!
I understand they were chapter 11 and Ive heard pro and con.
I do remember one years ago where they talked about Trump having the banks over a barrel .If they stopped lending him money they were going to lose their shirts probably because he threatened Chapter 13.
a quick Google search :
the more you learn ....the more questions there are
Excuse me? Got that Cruz authoritarian mindset about you... Now don’t you. Nastiness all around.. Nite
Post #105.Maybe you should talk to Jim about that!
Your Mad because Trump was smart enough to sell some Stock and make a Profit while your Wife got into what, Herbalife or Amway?
I see you are floating a Conspiracy in your second to last Paragraph. Clinton Cattle Futures and Trump selling some Stock. Mulder and Scully had better get right on that. LOL
BTW - Don’t forget to watch the Season Finale of X Files on Monday.
I’m a Cruz guy with Trump as my second choice, so may the best Man win so we can knock the hell out of the DemoncRats.
The real nastiness is falsely accusing someone of something they didn’t do. It’s called slander and defamation, I believe. But so far, nothing is beneath Trump when it comes to what he’ll do to ‘win’. And apparently, the same goes for some of his followers. Sad, that.
Careful now you may not like owing your own accusations!
