I think we need more similarities to how freedoms begins to end. Something at the beginning of the Red Revolution that looked like today.
Just hearing about total loss of freedom will NOT connect with young voters thinking Bernie makes sense. It’s too great a (whoops pun) leap for them.
Good article. Maybe the tyranny of political correctness can be seen through by enough of our young people to turn this tide. There is a minority of youth that are analytical and independent enough to push back forcefully.

I was born into this, lived in it, revolted against it, and had to escape from it. Paid big price by not being able to say good-bye to my family/relatives and close friends (all for their protection/safety), and ruined my career, too. Socialism / communism are the same anywhere on Earth. At that time, I escaped from one of the so called 'Eastern Europe' countries.

In answer to your question, my children are conservatives and appreciate and understand capitalism—however, they are extremely concerned about their future in this economy.
Bottom line is that the young are stupid and will follow any crowd. They want to belong. They are weak minded and without any personal convictions. They will follow any crowd.
