Jeffrey Epstein underage abuse victims sue government saying they were kept in the dark about 'sweetheart deal' giving billionaire immunity after he pleaded guilty to hiring teen for sex
A decade after police began an investigation into claims that financier Jeffrey Epstein had solicited teenage girls for sex, two women who the government designated as underage victims at the time have filed a lawsuit over his 'sweetheart deal.'
The women, identified as Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2, claim in court papers filed Wednesday that they were unaware of the secret deal being made between the defense team and prosecutors back in 2007 that guaranteed federal charges would not be brought against Epstein, 63, which could have resulted in a lengthy prison sentence for the billionaire.
They filed their lawsuit a few months after Epstein received his lenient sentence in 2008, with their lawyers saying the U.S. Attorney's Office violated the federal Crime Victims' Rights Act by not speaking with Epstein's victims about the details of his plea agreement.
The two victims who filed the suit were 13 and 14 at the time of the abuse.

Sadly, deals are made by prosecutors all the time with criminals without knowledge or approval of their victims. This case is going nowhere.

Trump is also a good friend of Jeffrey Epstein, but I credit Trump with enough sense not to get involved with underage girls. I do wonder if he knew what was going on though.

This is a very important lawsuit. Epstein traded in and slept with 1000s by his own admission of underaged girls from every corner of the globe. He served “time” - evenings only - for 18 months for ONE COUNT OF SOLICITATION OF PROSTITUTION. I’m reading all about this in the Clintons’ War on Women. The people who got him this deal with the Feds were closely connected to the Clintons AND the Bushes. And Epstein’s faithful attorney was Alan Dershowitz, whom Jane Doe admitted having been forced to have sex with at least 8 times while she was underaged. In three+ different states or locations.
The victims were not legally informed of the plea deal so they can do this. I wish them luck. The Bushes and Clintons make me sick.
Epstein is a rich democrat. Nothing will happen to him.

Not under the Act, 18 USC 3771. Under the Act, victims have the right to be informed of plea deals and heard on the record in open court. If they are denied the right, the Government must state openly on the record why the victims were denied. The issue here is getting the Government to say on the record the truth (we were protecting political and social elites from prosecution for raping children) or an obvious lie (not enough evidence to convict the defendant). The latter would at least be so unbelievable that it would help confirm the former, making the Government look like it condones child rape. The suit should also allow the public release of certain documents that name names.

Yep. Wasnt familiar w/ Fed law. It appears to violate (9) So, its up to the Judge to muddle through this.
