Did Donald Trump dominate? Did Marco Rubio make his mark? Read the verdicts from our election team and let us know who you think won the eighth Republican presidential debate in New Hampshire
(Excerpt) Read more at telegraph.co.uk ...
Seems like it was Donald the Barbarian.
He crushed Cruz, drove the rest of the pretenders before him ... Now hear the lamentations of their women.
And his combover wasn’t even mussed.
If you had watched it you would have pouted more than DONEald.
Guess we’ll just have to wait a couple of more days to see if new Hampshire is as stupid as Iowa.
So glad tonight finally exposed exactly how Cruz won......cheating. That was the best part of the debate. Trumps words at the end was exceptional. People will remember that Cruz stole votes from Carson. It could not have turned out better.
Cruz finishes 5th in NH..........he needs top 3 to have a decent look.
DONEald.......DONEald........DONEald, the booing still ringing in his ears.
You liked all the booing, did you?
Rubio that high? Is the publication in Denver or Seattle?
I don’t care about a bunch of Bush crazies booing Trump. Actually that is a good thing. Bush was desperate tonight. It showed. The ranking for Tuesday now is probably
Trump
Kacich
Rubio - He will be hurt but not sure how much. He can go anywhere on the
list but 1 or 2
Christie
Bush
Cruz
Carson
Giuliani would be a great choice, if he’s still got the mojo.
Back in his day Rudy was a super prosecutor, cleaning up NYC.
After seven years of executive branch and GOP-e—in a word, Uniparty—investigative dereliction of duty and failure to enforce, he sure would have his work cut out for him.
And Sarah Palin with her administrative and outdoor experience as Czar in charge of winding down s)everal bureaus and agencies: BLM, EPA, ATF and a couple others.
Cruz would be doing the nation a huge service by accepting a similar title and addressing several federal agencies with legal responsibilities,
I suppose their first several weeks would involve identifying and reversing executive orders and officious regulations promulgated by Democrat agency heads. Then Cruz particularly can look at federal district judges legislating through decisions on such things as infanticide, homosexual “marriage”, etc.
If they are going to ignore their resident scofflaws while persecuting citizens, what need do we have of them?
Cruz AND Rubio were shot down and Bush shut up when Trump held his finger up for him to hush. Trump ruled and they knew it. I don’t know what planet you are on but obviously your interstellar connection was faulty if you saw otherwise!
:-))
:*)) It was a good debate, in spite of the blunder in the beginning. True character was shown on stage tonight. Both good and bad.
ABC News. :(
Black Sabbath won. (That’s where I was, a Sabbath concert.)
And watching closely at their faces as they marched on stage... all absorbed in themselves. And worse, when Jeb walks past there is a look he gave which spoke of utter cluelessness of why Trump hadn't gone on.
I felt bad for Carson, nice, nice guy but totally not Presidential material. Maybe a nice quiet Surgeon General.
Rubio seemed like a conservative Obama whose teleprompter played a joke and kept putting the same words up for chuckles. I think he should go back to the state level legislature for awhile.
I felt, however, that the "debate" seemed more like an attempt to get the candidates to simply go after each other at times - for entertainment value at the least - and to see who would be most graceful under pressure at best. A lot of dodges and Cruz never answered the question of why he or staff didn't simply call the Carson Campaign to verify.
I was very disappointed with Cruz' answer and have been to Caucus where these types of stunts are pulled both at local level and state convention. But usually it is to persuade other candidates delegates to jump sides, not trick them into doing it as was the case here. Blaming CNN didn't cut it for me either. It is the campaigns responsibility to verify information. What conservative of any stripe relies on CNN for campaign info anyway? Absurd.
In a way, this debate was unneccesary, and in another way, it was the icing on the cake for my Trump leaning decision. Christie did well too, but he seems more of an AG candidate. And like you pointed out, there's that 2nd Amendment issue.
Trump!
I don’t know what planet you are from but apparently you didn’t learn how to read during your residence there. I said that Trump did OK, and he did. Nobody really went after him except once when Bush did, and he got some points. Otherwise trump wasn’t much of a presence.
But ‘ruled’? Hardly. Cruz is playing the long game, and the strategy for the long game said not to go after Trump last night. So gloat while you can.
NEW YORK VALUES
Cruz won. He had incredibly nuanced, well-informed policy depth rooted in conservative ideology and stayed away from cheap food fight attacks. Other people had shallow answers, sloganeering, empty rhetoric and nitpicking critiques of the other candidates. Cruz elevated our political discourse to something conservatives can be proud of. Everyone else gave us politics as usual.
Not one of the other candidates asked or looked like “WTF is it with this screwup?”
Jebito cruised right on by with a “sucks to be you, guy” look. Real prat boy crap. At least Trump was the only one to see what they ALL recognized as an obvious screw up.
Jim Gilmore is surging! He’s in third place!!!
Trump 64%
Cruz 24%
Gilmore 8%
