Cruz Campaign Push Polling in South Carolina.
(Excerpt) Read more at twitter.com ...
And what gets me is, if this story were that Trump was push polling SC, you’d be on here gushing about how Trump is serious and doing what it takes to win.
From a CBS article:
But what is a push poll anyway?
Fundamentally, what people label a push poll isn’t a poll at all. A push poll is political telemarketing masquerading as a poll. No one is really collecting information. No one will analyze the data. You can tell a push poll because it is very short, even too short. (It has to be very short to reach tens of thousands of potential voters, one by one). It will not include any demographic questions. The “interviewer” will sometimes ask to speak to a specific voter by name. And, of course, a push poll will contain negative information - sometimes truthful, sometimes not - about the opponent.
From wiki:
Push polls are generally viewed as a form of negative campaigning.[1] Indeed, the term is commonly (and confusingly) used in a broader sense to refer to legitimate polls that aim to test negative political messages.[2]
I din’t think any of us really know what is going on here with Ted.
I don’t think any of us really know what is going on here with Ted.
Trump supporters need to stop playing with their buggy whips and horseshoes. The Republicans got smoked in 2008 and 2012 playing with their number two pencils and legal pads. In the meantime, Obama and the democrats used data mining and narrow targeting all the way to the white house twice, and easily.
Why do you criticize the one candidate who is prepared to run a modern campaign that is designed to win? Oh well, back to the butter churn, that’s all.
Right, I don’t think this is a “push poll.” A push poll tries to influence the person to pick a certain choice, then publishes the results. This might strictly be a marketing gimmick and not something that will ever be published.
Amazing how people are shocked, shocked that Cruz is using longtime, standard political marketing techniques in his campaign. Up until now, political ads were always so clean and never negative at all.
Exactly. Trump’s campaign is a joke, a mediocre effort. We can’t afford to run him in November. He will be outmaneuvered by the Democrats at every turn.
” probably the false information spread about Carsonâs plans came out of these units of the Cruz campaign.”
uh, Carson said he was not going to NH but would be going home to Florida.
When ALL the candidates are headed to NH for the first primary vote, it is odd for him to NOT be going ...
If you ask Ted his position on an issue, he replies, “Well, what do you think? Where am I? What do you want to hear?”
Talk about ‘malleable’ ...
You don’t seem to understand what an “invasion of privacy” is. At which point did Cruz break into citizens’ homes and steal their info? Give me an example of when he obtained someone’s private information illegally.
As any sophisticated campaign should do that is serious about winning.
Adopting these techniques to mine information about voters is an invasion of privacy from a candidate who pretends to be concerned about such things.
His pac pushed polled Iowa too.
One of the questions was about “New York values”.
Sound familiar?
Its hard to think of an opinion less supported by empirical reality that this one here.
A week ago, Cruz was being annihilated for being inflexible— the Trumpsters jumped in with both feet and said yes indeed.
This evening we find out, Cruz is so malleable eh will say anything.
Here is what we do know— there are many many many people on FR who will do anything to post something negative about Cruz— Truth be damned.
Did you feel the same way when Romney was doing it?
I don’t remember many people here saying is was okay then.
ahem . . . WHO would be a tyrant?
This guy creeps me out bigtime.
Yes, Cruz is creepy ...
After the last couple of fake controversies, I will consider this wrong until I see real evidence.
You mean the fake controversies that have been (repeatedly) proven true? Here and everywhere?
CReepier and CReepier.
kind of like how the msm outmaneuvers him at every turn,...right?
