On his radio program today, Rush Limbaugh dropped a bombshell report that the rumors of Ben Carson dropping out on Monday were actively encouraged by the Rubio campaign.
[Listen]
CNN reported that Dr. Carson was on his way back to Florida after the Iowa Caucuses. Staffers working for the Cruz campaign reportedly heard the story and began telling caucus-goers Monday night that Dr. Carson planned on dropping out of the race, allegedly attempting to swing voters for Cruz.
According to Limbaugh, however, there are reports that the Rubio campaign is just as much to blame for spreading these rumors, trying to convince Carson supporters vote for Rubio.
So why is the Cruz camp being attacked from all sides while Rubio is ignored?
Because "Cruz is the frontrunner!" Limbaugh says. "They don't think they can go after him on issues."

Really, the whole thing is absurd
Really, the whole thing is absurd
The question we should all ask is who has the best chance in the general?
If I truly believed that cruz had the best chance I would suck it up and vote for him.
This election is more important than 4 years ago. How many Supreme Court justices will go bye bye in the next 4 years? To have hitlery or
bernie naming those justices would be a stake in this countries heart.
As much as I think cruz is a snake and a slimy politician, if I thought he had the best chance to pull from both sides of the aisle and win the general,
Id vote for him.
Rush = GOPe! Do tell ...
Those two guys are total sleazes.
He needs he advertising dollars. I just do not like the number of conservative media personalities that are supporting Rubio. Either I am way off track or every favor is being called in by the GOPe.
At this time in history the only person i trust to put forth nominee’s to the Supreme Court is Ted Cruz.
I think Cruz has the best chance in the general. Think Trump and Rubio have no chance in the general. Trump because his unfavorable is the highest of any candidate ever, and Rubio because the base will not support him because of Gang of 8 amnesty betrayal. I will vote for Rubio in the general because of the USSC. I’ll have a harder time voting for Trump because I think he is a faux conservative who will sign an amnesty bill if put on his desk, put liberal hacks on the USSC, and that he will not restore free market healthcare.
People are exaggerating that aspect of the story. Carson was going home on Monday, then going to DC on Thursday for the National Prayer Breakfast, and then I assume to NH for campaigning and the Saturday debate. Has anyone said he'd not participate in the next debate?
He'd be in NH from Thursday through next Tuesday.
That’s a “retweet” which means that someone passed along a copy of the original tweet which was sent about 18 minutes into the caucuses. The date is the date of the “retweet” not the original tweet.
I think Cruz would have little or no chance in the general. He's really building a resume of backtracking and events that have caused long and tortuous explanations that don't sound plausible at all. This scandal with the Carson voters is only the latest.
A real odor of sleaze is building up around the Cruz campaign.
Anyone that believes a politcian when he says “looks like” deserves to be duped.
Re: to your point about judges, sad reality is that the Congress, Repugnicans in particular, don’t have the courage nor conviction to stop leftist judges. They rolled right over for Kagan and the “Wise Latina,” and would do so time and again for leftist judges. In fact, should a Republican win in November, the Dems will fight to their dying breath to block a conservative nominee. So much so that the Repugnicans would throw in the towel just to make the battering go away.
Hey, at least it distracted the media away from Carson's utterly bizarre behavior. Good job, Ben.
A real odor of sleaze is building up around the Cruz campaign.
And we have you trying to add to it......go figure....your concern is noted. LOL!!
There is a screen grab out there, was already posted on FR, that shows Rush is right.
IKR. It is s crazy coming to FR daily and seeing Ted Cruz ripped apart, along with Rush and Levin for daring to defend conservatism or question Trump gushing over Pelosi/Reid/Schumer and how he will work with them if elected.
Lol, neither I nor anyone else has to add to it. Cruz and his campaign are adding to it often. We are only observers of events. - Your Cruz-like evasive tactics are noted.
