The 2016 presidential election season gets underway in earnest today as voters cast their first ballots at the Iowa caucuses. As usual, science-related issues aren't getting much attention from the candidates, as the debate has been dominated by national security, immigration policy, and the economy. But science does sometimes creep into the conversation, and ScienceInsider has been keeping its ears perked.
Here's an overview of where the candidates stand on some select science-related issues (keeping in mind that the candidates have yet to sound off on many topics of interest to researchers).

So is this a real assessment of how intelligent and knowledgeable the various candidates are about science, or is it how pussified they are and the fealty they display to politically correct fantasies about scientific topics?
No, that is not ideoligically biased at all. Not at all.
It mostly seems to be about funding — “good science” is stuff that taxpayer money is spent on. “Ignorant politicians” are those who are hesitant to fork over the loot in sufficient quantities..
Someone should ask them if the “S” in NASA stands for SUNNI or SHIITE.
On another note, What is Puneet Kollipara’s position on disposing of human bodies by tossing them in the Ganges?
Is this the kind of “science” that views my exhalations as a dangerous pollutant?

GMO hype (pandering to liberal fears),
CAGW hype and propaganda (pandering to enviro-greenies and Oboma’s get-out-the-subsidies groups),
evolution language (pandering to liberal anti-Christian hysteria and hatred,
and the “Oh-my-goddess we’re going to die” ex-hippie hype and propaganda (pandering to ex-hippies and Pelosi and Hillary and Kerry and their politicians and voters in the Social in-Security sets.
Do you see strong science and technology and engineering?
Or academia-we-know-what-is-best-for-you-from-OUR-ivory tower fortress of government grants and tenure?
The Demagogic Party saddles on anything they can use to get their boot on our necks.
