RUSH: I have to say one thing, one more thing, one more time. I do not like -- and I've got a Reuters story: "Marco Rubio Emerges Champion of Battered Republican Establishment." Another Reuters story, headline: "Republican Cruz Calls Iowa Win a Victory for Conservative Grassroots." I do not like, speaking for myself, I don't like this idea that Marco Rubio is all of a sudden being labeled as an establishment candidate.
I know that Rubio's got the baggage of that Gang of Eight bill and I know that in many people's minds he's got the baggage of wanting to grant the current number of illegals citizenship. I understand that. But Marco Rubio is no moderate Republican centrist. I could sit here like anybody else could and try to make explanations for you for why he did the Gang of Eight. I'm not even gonna try to put words into his mouth. I don't want to be seen as making excuses. I'm just telling you, I don't see Marco Rubio as anything other than a legitimate, full-throated conservative. Nobody's pure, and nobody is ever free of making mistakes.
I know Senator Rubio. It's like I was telling you last week: I know these people. I know that Senator Rubio in the Senate... In many ways, he agrees with Cruz about things. He's worn out with the Senate. The Senate... I heard this from Allen West when he left the House. I've heard, "The incumbents, that's all they care about is being reelected. You go there to make a difference and you run into brick wall after brick wall after brick wall." I don't think... You know, Rubio, I don't think he wants to stay there 30 years to break through the wall to get a committee chairmanship or whatever.
I just don't like this idea that all of a sudden we're gonna make Rubio the establishment bad guy, as though Rubio is no different than the McCains and the Bob Doles and the Romneys and the others that have come along and been nominated by the establishment. He just isn't. He has not been talked out of his conservatism. He does not abandon it. He had the best end-of-the-evening speech of anybody last night. He had the best end-of-the-evening speech of anybody. And even the media was dazzled by the fact that he did it without a teleprompter.
They continue to be dazzled by that. (chuckling) Of course, Barack Hussein O can't do anything without a teleprompter. I just don't want to... We had three genuine Reaganites triumph last night, and Rubio did better than a lot of people thought he was gonna do -- and to me, that is very important. It is crucially important for conservatism, for Reaganism, for the future of the Republican Party. I'm just not comfortable here sitting and watching somebody end up maybe being destroyed because of a characterization of being "establishment."
Yeah, the establishment may embrace him because they hate Cruz and they're not gonna embrace Trump, and their real preferences can't get any traction. (That would be Jeb and Kasich and Christie.) So they've gotta go with somebody. But I'm never gonna be one that sees Marco Rubio as the establishment, as we talk about it every day here on this program.
END TRANSCRIPT
I saw last night the exit polls from Iowa rated Rubio with a Pityful 11% on trust on dealing with Immigration.
Expect to to see him pummeled with that and flip/flopping trust issue.
Dondi will be bruised come Sunday. Maybe Chris Wallace can give him an on air peticure and face massage while Charles Krauthammer
Tries to build his self esteem back up.
Amnesty is not conservative.
It is insanity.
Come on now, that was a mistake. By the way, a mistake he maintained until fairly recently when he realized being pro-amnesty would hurt his presidential aspirations.
Cruz ran an ad on WBAP today during Rush’s program. In it an excerpt of one of his interviews was played were he basically endorsed Cruz.
I think he really favored Cruz from the beginning but for some mysterious reason (Money?) his show has been a three hour commercial for Trump since last summer. I think he still favors Cruz but listening today I would say Rubio is his second choice..
It never made sense that Trump was his real choice.
Good grief....with that logic, America is doomed.
Now, if it’s Yeb......I won’t make any promises

Rubio is Young Yeb!
3E, you said it. Spot on. No other issue will matter if we don't have a country, and we won't have a country if we don't have borders and if we admit millions of people, like the (so far) one half million MORE H1-B visa immigrants that Cruz supports as part of the Gang Of 8 amnesty bill. H1-B visas are for the GOOD jobs, technical, engineering, computers, business professionals. Every city in America has thousands and thousands of unemployed Americans who are qualified to do these jobs---they've done the jobs before, or they are young college grads educated and trained in the field. These are the jobs where the corporation terminates the American but requires that the American train his Indian replacement to do the job or else lose his severance pay or even his pension.
The millions of muslims---Obama brings them in stealthily, in the middle of the night, not going through customs, jumbo jets full of them, then swiftly sends them out into flyover country and destroy small towns and plant the seeds for the death of middle-sized cities. These people are at the very least SLEEPERS---waiting for the high-sign from Obama or the ayatollah or whoever, to attack.
Recently I read an article which told of how they'd placed a few thousand muslims in a town where the big employer was a yogurt manufacturer, who gave all the muzzies jobs. Now, these are people who don't use toilet paper; they use their left hands. And we are placing them in our food chain?
NO Washington Political Class Professional Politician candidate is going to do a damn thing about invaders, because these candidates are owned by the open borders, Globalist crowd---Goldman Sachs, Silicon Valley, Koch Bros, Soros, etc.
Oh, really?
Rubio conned the people of Florida then pretty much never did the job. From the beginning he was missing meetings, votes etc. When asked, his campaign mgr said he had family obligations.
It was a stepping stone because Rubio is a career politician and like Cruz, their only goal is that big white bldg on Pennsylvania Ave
Limbaugh pimped Arlen Specter.
I wonder what Rush’s advertisers think of him getting in bed with Rubio?
Rush is on a leash. He hasn’t expressed a non-approved opinion since 2003.
Really? What if there was an asteroid hurtling through space, and it was going to strike the earth and destroy all life unless you cast your vote for Rubio. Would you do it?
What if all the puppies in the world would be dropped into a giant blender and chopped into tiny bits unless you voted for Ben Carson? Would you do it then?
DING DING DING
Rush says what gets him ratings
He’s an entertainer.
Let me guess, it was this statement that turned you off:
"Nobody's pure, ".........
And you're gonna be one of those "purists" who stays home on election day simply because YOUR GUY didn't get the nomination...........Maybe you won't stay home but it was those very "Purists" who DID stay home and gave us Obama while blaming the 60+ millions of us who DID vote against Obama for his election.........Talk about a disconnect from reality.
That rhymes: amnesty is insanity.
As a side note, Rush won’t miss you.........LOL!
I’ll have to look into that. Thank you.
Now we know Rush is.
