Dr. Ben Carson and his campaign accused Sen. Ted Cruz’s team of sabotaging him in the Iowa caucuses Monday night by encouraging Cruz supporters to announce that Carson was dropping out of the race at their caucus sites.
“It was happening all over,†Iowa State Director Ryan Rhodes told MSNBC. “One of the precincts Candy [Carson, the candidate’s wife] walked into, she had to correct the record. She actually walked in, in Ankeny, and gave a speech about no, he’s still in the race and that’s a lie.â€

When you have Cruz surrogates going into multiple precincts where people are voting and declaring that Carson is dropping out and "don't waste your vote on him," there's only one possible understanding you can get from it.
the desperation to tar Cruz by trumpsters is pathetic. Your guy lost tonight, get over it and move on.
They made the announcement, apparently in many places, that Carson was dropping out of the race. If you don’t see that as unethical you are a good fit for your candidate.
This was backed up by a statement by Carson's own people: "Contrary to false media reports, Dr. Ben Carson is not suspending his presidential campaign"
This matters because Carson has a key endorsement to give.

We will see if Ted invokes the Lord’s name as much in New Hampshire as he did in Iowa. “Not everyone who says, ‘Lord! Lord! ....” and all that. If Ted is faking this piety, then we can expect a major smack down soon.

This wasn’t even a dirty trick. Cruz supporters wouldn’t have been doing their job if they hadn’t let Carson supporters know about the breaking news reports that Carson was starting to act like a candidate who is not taking his campaign seriously and might be about to drop out. I was upset about the mailers and didn’t defend them but this was not even slightly unethical.
the source is MSNBC, are you so eager to smear Cruz to take them at their word.
there have always been people who are willing to lie if it means getting their faces on the news broadcasts.
by the way, check the way Jefferson’s people dealt with Adams’ people in that election.
